So my tubal ligation is scheduled for Monday. And the nurse called me today… she mentioned my ovaries are scheduled to removed as well! I was like, no they’re NOT ma’am!

Sorry for the long title
So the nurse called me today to go over details. Like medications I should stop etc. And when we were going over the details, she mentioned my procedure which is the tubal removal and then she said an ovary removal. I was like whoa no no no! I said I’m not getting my ovaries removed that would kick me into menopause. I said we need to fix this immediately.

So she fixed it on her end and I called my doctor. I’m having the nurse call me back as soon as she gives him the message and put it in the system. I’m also gonna be really pushy about it on Monday. I’m not worried that they’ll make a mistake. I’m just worried that the notes were a mistake to begin with. I’m actually considering writing a permanent marker on my chest only to remove the tubes leave the ovaries lol. I’m just trying to find the humor in this and not freak out.

Has this happened to anyone else where they made a small mistake before surgery but you were able to fix it?

I just wanted to share how much weight I’ve lost.

F42, 40 pounds so far, I only have about 10 more to go before I reach my goal weight. But I started maintenance now, since I never went beyond the 2.5 mg.

I’m a seasoned Seamstress and tailor. And so when I lost weight, I had all these cute underwear I had recently purchased about a year ago. And I really didn’t want to get rid of them. So I’ve spent the day taking them in.

I don’t really like posting pictures of my actual body on the Internet. So I thought this would be fun for everyone to see. I took in about an inch on the sides, so 2 inches total, and I cut off about 3 inches off the top. These were originally high waisted from Victoria’s Secret. Because I was so ashamed of my stomach. But now I made these cute little booty shorts. :)

Venting about Born of Blood and Ash

Hi all,
I love following this sub because you guys always have amazing recommendations for books. The only reason I’m reading this book. Is because the next few in the series about a different character, without giving any spoilers is supposed to be really good. But good gawd.

\>!Im just starting chapter 10 it’s page 134. And the fmc is just NOW leaving the bedroom that she has been in for the last 134 pages!!!!!!<
\>!I was not a fan of the third book. And I understood it was supposed to be all intense and what not. But I felt like it dragged on forever!<
The first two books are great though.
Please tell me this book gets better or picks up.

I was approved for my bisalp!!!

I saw the doctor yesterday and he approved it. He was like ok it’s your body. I’m 42, and he was like even if you were 22 I would still approve it. 🥳

So I’m in Northern New Jersey so if anybody needs recommendations, please DM me and I will give you his name. I hope that that’s allowed mods.

Just discovered my Armenian heritage, I need help tracing records**

I'll try to keep this organized but bear with me because this is still a lot to process.

I grew up believing my family was fully Sicilian. I recently discovered that's only half the story. Through genealogical research I've been able to trace my family back to my 2nd great-grandparents, Garabed K. Sachaklian (b. 1861) and Varther Wacteria, who were Armenian. Their son, Steven G. Sachaklian (1887–1963), emigrated as a child before the Genocide, made his way through New York City, and eventually settled in Boston where he married a Sicilian woman, Catherine Bongiorno. Steven is my great-grandfather on my mother's side.

So yes, Armenian and Sicilian, with a touch of Irish like everyone else lol. I had no idea. I'm excited but sad since records are so hard to find.

Here's where it gets tricky: Garabed and Varther are my wall. My ancestors fled a country intent on erasing them entirely. The systematic destruction of the Armenian people their lives, their communities, and their records means that tracing this heritage beyond that point feels almost impossible. What survived did so only because people escaped, and in escaping, so much of what connected them to their homeland was lost. I'm one of many descendants who grew up without ever knowing this part of their history.

  1. Genealogy: Has anyone had success tracing Armenian ancestry this far back, especially for families who emigrated through the U.S. in the late 1800s? Any archives, databases, or organizations that actually have surviving records? I've hit Ellis Island but I'm not sure where to go from there.

Any help is genuinely appreciated. This has been an emotional discovery and I feel like I'm just beginning to understand what it means.
