Update 2 on our balcony pigeons: Babies are here!

The first egg was laid on 5/3, the second on 5/4. After that, both pigeons, or as we named them, Bing and Bong, started breeding!

Around 5/18-5/19 we noticed a change in behaviour and how they were sitting so we figured either the babies already hatched or were very close. But since the nest is higher up and we didn't want to disturb them, we didn't really know - until today!!

When I looked out the window, I saw some movement and a little later I could clearly see two little baby heads..they are so incredibly cute😍😍

Anyways...here are Ding and Dong! (Yes, very creative, we know hahahaha)

I feel like I will never be able to talk like I did without this thing in..

I got my screws for a slider put in about three weeks ago, and I thought it couldn't get worse. Hah! I now have my slider in (had it done on 5/6 and two teeth pulled on 5/7) and omggg it's horrible.

The slider's poking my tongue and cheeks, and I cannot speak without sounding absolutely horrible. I'm not even in pain, nothing hurts, but the discomfort is lowkey way worse (and so overstimulating) than pain hahaha.. I already got wax for the cheek thing tho and that helps sm

And the best thing - my coil springs aren't even activated yet, which means my teeth aren't even shifting now...

Can't believe I'm paying for this torture🤣

NSFW for the second photo

I got this slider in yesterday, and today they pulled two teeth (about 4h ago). I'm super hungry and wanted to eat some soft foods (eggs,..) but food gets stuck in the slider, especially the coil springs, and I can only remove it properly with a waterpik.

The teeth they pulled are the ones with the red crosses next to them, for reference.

Am I allowed to use it after getting my teeth pulled?

We named the pigeons Bing & Bong, and we put some water out for them if they want some since water is a little scarce around here. Other than that we are leaving them alone completely and are trying not to scare them :D

There are pigeons nesting on our balcony. We already secured the spot so the nest won't fall down (again - it happened once but they came back and are building again).

I was now wondering on what to do to help them feel secure and also what to feed them. I've googled some things but there are so many different opinions on what (not) to feed them so I'm really unsure.

We have some bird feeders (the ones in those half coconut shells with nuts) hanging directly underneath the nest, but I'm unsure if they are able to feed on them since they are usually for smaller birds.

A water dish is already on the way, do we have to put it directly next to the nest or is it fine to put a few meters away?

Also, how do we keep them from flying away when we walk past the balcony? Is there any way we can help them trust us more?

Any help is really appreciated :)
