Can't log into my Microsoft account in Minecraft? Here's your support experience:

1. Contact support chatbot → "Chat and phone not available for sign-in issues. Use self-help."

2. Self-help doesn't cover account-specific server-side errors.

3. Go to r/microsoft → "We don't do support here, try r/techsupport"

4. Go to r/techsupport → "No account issues allowed here"

5. Back to step 1.

Nobody designed this to be evil. It just ended up perfectly engineered to ensure you never reach a human being.

Meanwhile the billing system works flawlessly. Funny how that works.

Error Code: Drowned. Weeks. Zero resolution.

Can't log into my Microsoft account. No Realms, no Marketplace, nothing. Tried everything. Unlinked, relinked, DNS, restarts. Nothing.

Tested on my brother's PS5 with the same account. Same error. So it's not my Switch, not my network, not Minecraft. It's Microsoft's servers being broken for my specific account.

Contacted support. Their bot — their actual bot — told me "chat and phone support are not available for sign-in issues.

Realms subscription? Still being charged. Every month. That part works perfectly.

Weeks of silence. Zero human response. A bot that actively refuses to help. And a subscription that keeps billing me for a service I can't access.

Been getting Error Code: Drowned in Minecraft Bedrock on my Switch for weeks. Can't access Realms, Marketplace, nothing. Tried unlinking/relinking Microsoft account, custom DNS, full restarts, nothing works.

Confirmed it's not a Switch issue, tested the same Microsoft account on a PS5, identical error. 100% account-side problem at Microsoft.

Hi everyone

For weeks now I've been getting "Error Code: Drowned" every time Minecraft tries to sign me into my Microsoft account on Nintendo Switch. Access to Realms, Marketplace etc. completely broken.

What I've tried:

- Unlinking and relinking Microsoft account on Switch

- Custom DNS (8.8.8.8)

- Full restarts, cache clearing

- Contacting Microsoft Support, multiple times, zero response

The kicker: my Realms subscription is still being charged. Money works fine, login doesn't.

This is account-specific, other accounts work fine on the same Switch. So it's not a network issue, not a Switch issue. Something is broken on Microsoft's end with my specific account and nobody seems to care.

Has anyone had this and actually resolved it? And does anyone know how to get Microsoft to actually respond?
