Heartbroken

So I finally decided to do the FD rx7. I chose the yellow so I really wanted the 100 streak meter. was just 10 off! I knew I should have stopped for the day I felt off my game. Too many distractions. Tired. And I crashed right at the end! Couldn’t retire. I’m so empty now

Also how much does story mode servicing cost? I need the meter. I don’t have the time.

33m looking for friends who want to go to gigs/shows together

So in the last couple of years I’ve been getting reconnected with music. However a lot of my friends arnt into gigs and I always end up going alone which kinda sux and makes it hard to kinda keep a spot in the pit or a table. Looking for likeminded individuals who are in the same boat. Main genres are hardcore / metalcore / punk / alternative / death metal.

Hoping to find a few people who would be down and maybe add you to a group chat that I originally started that had people who enjoy gigs and sharing music even if you don’t do shows and want to join a group for music sharing then I’m happy to add people to this aswell. ✌️

Stylus advice

So my current vm95e has hit 300 hours.
While it still sounds fine I’d like to retire it and use it only for testing new purchases that arnt exactly clean.

For a long time I was heart set on the vm95ml. I’ve been told it’s the ideal upgrade etc etc. but what may be good may not be for others.
When I mentioned this to friends I’ve had 2 people actually say 2m blue before I actually said what I was looking at.

Real world google tells me the ml is a more detailed stylus while the blue has a higher output (desired by me) my last stylus was a shure m447 which I used briefly and I could definitely notice a drop in volume when I switched to the 95e. How detailed are we talking? Will it suit my genres (listed below)

I guess my real question is what do you recommend. I’ll list my setup and genres below.

- At- Lp1240 turntable (currently running the vm95e)
- Zen IFI phono stage
- Marantz sr7005 currently instead of my 3802 Denon
- accusound speakers. Cannot remember the model but they were on the higher end (due to replace these soon as I believe they are the weakest link at the moment. Feel free to comment)

As for music.
A little country and hip hop occasionally.
But mainly punk/hardcore , metalcore, deathcore, slam death metal is my usual haunt.

I have quite a few pressings that suffer from IGD, I hear the ml will reduce this too so that’s bonus points to me. Nothing worse than the last track on side a being a favourite only to have it half assed.

So I’m relatively new to this game like let’s say 6 months roughly. I’m pretty good in battle as people have mentioned. Of course i am not the best.

I’ve met some people along the way. Some whom I go and race every now and then. The one thing that nobody has ever explained to me is all the different styles people seem to race in vs battle.

So I know of teams (and correct me if I’m wrong) One is supposed to run the other is to block your opponents so you win right?

I understand people tend to race recommended hp. And it seems frowned upon if you chose something else I.E if you raced Osaka on 780 or Nagoya on 800.

One thing that bothers me is nobody ever disables the handicap. Wouldn’t this be the ultimate way of racing?

Now I’ve been in a couple of races recently where straight off the gates I’ve taken off and started to race towards the goal. While others immediately start blocking each other. I didn’t understand or thought I was doing anything wrong. Until someone leaned over and said “time attack with traffic? Weird”. I took that as why are you running away from the battle. Like forgive me for being naive but isn’t that the goal? If we were doing something else why does nobody explain this.

I’m a very antisocial person and generally I’m not very approachable. So unless there’s been a small setting where I’ve decided to talk to someone I tend to just keep to myself.

So surely someone here can tell me what I’m missing it kinda felt like I wasn’t included in said race so I decide to hit a wall and let them catch up. At which point I hit a wall deliberately so people could catch up and I could just chase them down instead. Ultimately costing me my first place. Since starting I’ve learnt to block a little better than before so if I am in first I do have some chance of surviving against pro players.

Let me know what I’m missing.

Also just on the topic I play for fun. I do not care if people beat me. I’m just there for a good time.

So a friend is bringing me a banapassport from Japan but I only just realised they are on 6rr+ over there.

The card is blank unregistered. Will i be able to transfer my 6rr data to it?

Also later on when rr+ becomes available i wont need to change cards right ?
