How do I proceed from here/what am I doing wrong?
This is my second attempt at oil painting (the first is the apple which I did just with a palette knife) and I think I might be going about it the wrong way? I’m trying to block in the dark areas first and work my way up to lights. I also think I might have used too much of the thinning medium because it looks very patchy. Any advice or tips are very much appreciated.

Am I doing this wrong?
I’ve been using a set of five dilators. When I started I couldn’t even get the first one in, but now I can get the fourth one but I still need to use the 2nd and 3rd beforehand, and I usually have to use a vibrator. Is this bad? Am I hindering my progress by going gradually and using the vibrator?
It’s been over a year now (I’ve been a bit sporadic with it because, well, life) and I’m really angry and resentful that I still have to do this. The idea of PIV sex doesn’t make me feel sick and cry anymore, and in fact I actually WANT to do it now, but in some ways it’s worse because now I can’t do something that I really wish I could. Any advice or encouragement is really appreciated, I feel so hopeless about this right now.

I was trying to fix a cracked hinge on my DSi XL, pulled the microphone cable too hard (it was stuck) and tore the ribbon cable. How hard would this be to fix?
