As I understand it some criterion region A blurays would get a later region B release. Given 4ks are multiregion, have criterion bothered to release anything with a previous R1 4K release as a R2 so that the accompanying bluray disc is the correct region?

The reason I ask is I live in the UK and would like to get Isle of Dogs 4K, but I don't know whether to wait or not for a R2 release. It is a film where I'd be invested in watching the extras as I love the stop motion process, but i'm guessing that stuff would all be on the region locked blu-ray.

Hiya. I'm pretty new to collecting and just wondering where people get updates on what's being released. Is there a good site that covers everything? And is there a rhythm for some label's new releases - do they have a monthly announcement or something?

I would like to get Francis Ha on bluray but the criterion isn't region 2, It came out in 2013. In 2014 Metrodome put out a region free bluray but I can't find any reviews of it.

I'm just wondering if it could be the same master as the criterion? And generally how these things work?

I'm not that fussed generally about owning criterions and can usually make do without the special features. I would like to collect films in top notch presentation though.
