Any locals in this sub? :) 💚

Bought this on a whim because it was decently cheap from my local ramen restaurant… it is so mfckn green, not very bitter, nutty, chocolatey… I am blown.
To be fair I haven’t tried many matcha brands but the pricier ones I have tried (usually from Uji region) are never this vibrant green or complex tasting.
Anyways, just an example of how the marketing labels “culinary” and “ceremonial” are indeed… just marketing.

I was in southern China to celebrate the lunar new year, and every Chinese household I visited had a permanent gong fu set up, usually in their living room. Every home I visited would pass these cups of tea out to their guests and everyone would take them back like shots over and over. As a tea lover-this was a superb way to celebrate/party.
The tea culture and quality of tea in China is just amazing. 🤍

Bought her from Rona 6 months ago and split her into 2 pots last month. She’s thriving.
Excited to see her growth in another 6 months now that I’ve learned so much more on proper monstera care from this subreddit 🤞🏻
