I am foster failing these two brothers out of a litter of five I raised. My daughter named the whole litter after Sprunki characters, so these two were known as Oren (left) and Simon (right), which I don’t mind.
But I kind of want to give them Twilight inspired names for their “permanent” names.

My mom has, as far as I’m aware, never been diagnosed with narcissism or any personality disorder. But when I search for this, I see it comes up to some extent occasionally in forums on narcissists, and I just need to know if I’m crazy or what the heck this is about.
My mom has copied me forever. And not in a flattering way. I normally do not mind at all if someone asks where I got something, but it’s big things sometimes, and it’s done in a weirdly invasive way. Examples in the last year (this is by no means a full list):
-I bought a limited edition Snoopy Coach purse, just thought it was cute. She had to have an identical one, but they were sold out. She ended up paying a reseller for it to have it.
-She bought me pajamas for Christmas in her size, as well as a necklace identical to one she was wearing the day before and showing to me.
-She heard me say I like a particular nail polish brand, and proceeded to spend several hours during a holiday break placing an order from the same company for herself.
-She found out my husband was upgrading my engagement ring and decided she also needed a new engagement ring. She ended up choosing a nearly identical ring to mine (same stone shape, with diamonds along the band), she just made sure to point out hers is a carat larger. She was initially looking at totally different styles and shapes of stones.
-She recently asked where I got a necklace I was wearing, and said it was totally her style. I said I didn’t remember (a lie, but I just didn’t want her to copy me again tbh). A couple weeks pass, and I see boxes from this, very obscure and random, exact brand I got the necklace from on their counter.
-She found out the name of the hair stylist I was going to, and started going to see her regularly too and now makes sure to tell me things they discuss about me at her visits (like speculating what I’m going to do next with my hair).
These are just a few examples… when I say this happens all the time I am not even exaggerating. She even does this with illness. If any of my family gets sick, she either claims she’s been sick with whatever it is already for several days, or within 24 hours will complain of the same symptoms. Every. Single. Time.
It’s like nothing can just be mine?? I feel selfish and weird typing this all out, but it’s bizarre. Does anyone else’s parent do this?
I’ve had several ups and downs with this litter of 5. I got them when they were about 10 days old from a bad hoarder situation. They were all initially tube fed. Multiple URIs, UTIs, one scaring me with vomiting, even one emergent fading kitten success story. They’ve kept me on my toes!
Today I brought them in for boosters and the shelter techs told me they were shocked that all 5 have made it. I’m so proud of them!
They’re about 5 weeks now. We aren’t totally out of the woods, but I feel like we’ve come so far.

I’m fostering a litter of 5 kittens who came from a pretty vile hoarder situation. They’ve all had their run of URIs and one had a UTI over the past few weeks, but overall honestly doing pretty well all things considered.
They’re around 4-5 weeks now and I’ve begun offering slurry bottles and wet kitten food on a plate with formula mixed in.
This little guy pictured took to the wet food on a plate quickly a few days ago. He still drinks some from a bottle but has mainly wanted the wet food.
This evening, he ate a little wet food, then drank from the bottle. He went and laid down, and about 10 minutes after eating he ran to a litter box and vomited.
He immediately started playing and climbing up my legs. I offered him more bottle in case it was just a one off, and the same thing happened - he laid down, then 10 minutes or so later he ran off, vomited everything, then started playing with his siblings acting totally normal.
Some history-
He just completed 10 days of doxy for a URI. Today was day 11 so first day without meds for him.
None of them have had any vomiting or diarrhea.
I have seen him recently pooping in the litter box so I don’t believe he is backed up. His tummy does not appear distended either.
They’ve had 2 sets of vaccines by the shelter and I believe were dewormed both times as well.
It’s been 10 days since we visited the shelter for their last set of vaccines.
He’s met my other cats after a 2 week period of them being separate from the rest of the household. My cats have not been sick lately at all and are indoor only.
Zero other symptoms… he seems totally normal.
I’m about to lay down for the evening and am petrified I will wake to him being very sick tomorrow.
Someone talk me off the ledge… is this how panleuk starts? Or any other awful illness? Would he have appeared more sick beforehand? Could this just be because we are weaning?

I’ve got a litter of 5 I’m fostering currently. I’ve had them 11 days, all have been gaining weight, transitioned from tube to bottle feeding, and a few even checking out a tiny litter box (with very shallow non clumping litter). No diarrhea, vomiting, everyone is pottying normally. 3 of the 5 have eye goop they are getting drops for (including the kitten pictured). 1 is on URI antibiotics (not this kitten pictured - the one on antibiotics is actually doing really well).
Today when I checked on the kittens, this little black and white one was crying and unable to move. He was against their heating disc, which was still warm. He was unable to open his mouth or close his eyes. I spoke with an online vet and they had me wrap him, warm him, give sugar water, and bring to the ER vet. He perked up at the vet and they said his sugar was 183. He was able to come back home with me.
At home, he has wiggled around more and seems to be doing a bit better. I gave him a tube feeding as he initially wasn’t wanting to latch, but after a couple hours he did go for a bottle. He even looked around and tried to bat at his siblings a bit.
I’m keeping him near me with a blanket and his heated disc. He occasionally stretches around but just goes back to sleep. When I physically move him he is sluggish in response. He seems exhausted. He looks so very ill just lying here. I’ve contacted the humane society and they have the ER records and are checking with their vet on if I need to bring him in.
I’d just love any insight or advice here… how often should I be encouraging him to eat in this state? Should I keep trying to rouse him or let him rest? Would he be better off with his siblings in their space? I work from home so I’ve got him next to me on my desk.
I’ve fostered bottle babies before, but nothing like this has happened. It was so unexpected. He seems like he’s right on the edge of crashing at any moment or like he could potentially pull out of it. I just don’t know what to do 😭
Also not sure of age, but he weighs 326g. I think they are close to 3 weeks.
Update: He drank formula several more times from a bottle and I brought him to the humane society vet to be checked out. By the time I got there he was very perked up and looked alert and normal, no longer so sleepy and floppy. I showed them videos of how awful he was looking just before and they agreed to check him over. They will call me later with updates. I’m hoping this was just a hypoglycemic episode and he’s possibly turned a corner.
Update 2: Kitty was diagnosed with possible UTI (had enlarged bladder on exam) and sent home with antibiotics. He’s been improving at home and made it through the night with feeds every 3 hours.
I’m looking for recommendations of therapists in the area that specifically treat phobias and OCD.

Two years ago I attempted to log in after a hiatus, and the site simply would not take my password. The password reset wouldn’t work. I reached out to TNT and gave them the email address associated with my account in attempt to get back in, but they said the email address didn’t match the account.
Today I randomly decided to try again. Low and behold, the password saved on my phone worked, and I immediately went into my account settings and there it was- the email address I gave to TNT two years ago. Ugh!! They lied to me?!
Anyway I’m stoked to be back and evidently I missed a lot of changes! Totally overwhelmed with what we are able to do with pet styles now and UC going the way of the dodo.
