Looking to sell my new condo at slightly below cost to the government

Beautiful unit purchased as a pre-construction a few years ago, looking to sell now.

The real estate developers are getting a government buy out at cost and many people are saying it’s a win for taxp as well.

So I thought why not do my part to help with affordable housing… I will even sell for slightly less than I bought it for so it’s below market.

And even donate 5% of my proceeds to the re-election campaign of whoever can help me out.

(Being sarcastic but sad to see so many ppl defending an obviously shitty policy choice cuz it’s their “team” that implemented it.)

Are median public sector roles in Canada are better compared to private sector?

Traditionally people say the private sector pays better but the public sector has better work life balance.

But I think that is more of an American thing.

No doubt for highly compensated C-suite type roles the private sector pays more, but for the average employee in Canada it is best to the in the public sector.

The only other advantage I can think of private sector roles is they tend to have more flashy offices and an aura of prestige.

Otherwise it is better to be in public sector to public sector adjacent roles.

Air Canada pilots seem to keep the seatbelt sign on a lot more than other carriers ?

Travel a lot (mostly Europe and Asia) and notice Asian and European carriers are a lot more sparing about seatbelt on sign use.

Whereas Air Canada likes to keep it on almost all the time even well past the point after any turbulence has passed (it was be on for hours).

This is extra annoying when flying economy as all of a sudden a rush for the restrooms, and it is very uncomfortable to have to hold it in for that time period.

This has happened to me a couple of times now.

I suppose the other option is just ignoring the seatbelt sign which I would want to avoid doing, ideally Air Canada should be more judicious in the usage of the sign, or it paradoxically creates a safety hazard by encouraging people ignore cabin crew instructions.

Look at the volume of HouseSigmaBlunders in Ontario, Why aren't we getting a bailout ?

If is deeply unfair that the Carney goverment is allocating all these funds to help prop up the Vancouver market.

Look at Toronto condos, they have fallen more than Vancouver has.
