I used to watch Ashens and this other very similar YouTuber's channel. At some point a couple years ago I think, I just stopped getting these videos recommended to me, I don't know why.

Suddenly I got the new microwaved burgers video from ashens on my YouTube! I was so glad and wondering where these guys went from my new videos list. I'm glad I have a bunch of Ashens to catch up on but I'm still wondering about the other channel.

I'm sure I was subscribed to the other channel but I can't find it. I didn't watch him as long as I did ashens because I found ashens first, then one day found the other guy through a random recommendation on YouTube.

he's very similar but I think he strictly only does food reviews. He was probably 40+ years old if I had to guess. I think he really liked fish. And he ate on a small table with a bluish (?) patterned tablecloth I believe.

I was thinking it could be Atomic Shrimp, he does eat on a multicolored patterned table. But I just feel like I was so sure this guy was on camera, but with Atomic Shrimp, no face. Atomic Shrimp also has a video series of messing with scammers, rather than weird food only.

So I could just be thinking of Atomic Shrimp, but misremembering some details. But just in case it is a separate person I'm thinking of and someone knows, I wanted to put this out there. I wish I had more details to give.

Side note, Atomic Shrimp is really awesome too if you like ashens

I'm getting tunnel vision on this, but this essentially breaks down like this:

Map is duplicated entirely like that Phaseshift map, where when you use your Custom Equipment A, you teleport/shift to the 'other dimension'

There is also a checkpoint system using the mark ability to go to your last checkpoint (area volume/object variable)

For the 'dimension' hopping part, you start in Dimension A, with a number variable of 1. When you use the Custom Equipment A, you teleport up to Dimension B (166 Z units above), and the number variable changes to 2. And then of course when Custom Equipment A is used when you have a number variable 2, you teleport back to Dimension A(166 Z units down), and get your number variable set back to 1. When you Dimension hop, you will always be 166 Z units up or down, in the same corresponding spot of the previous dimension you left.

And then for the checkpoint system, you have an object variable set each time you go through a new checkpoint(area volume). These can go in either dimension but you will specifically teleport to that spot in that dimension where the checkpoint is, once you mark.

Alright so now let's say you Custom Equipment Dimension hop to Dimension B, you have a number variable of 2. But then you MARK teleport back to a checkpoint that is in Dimension A. Your number variable is still 2, saying you're in Dimension B, when you're now actually in Dimension A.

My method to circumvent this was to add a Set Number Variable node to each new checkpoint to match which dimension you're in. So if I MARK teleport to Dimension A from Dimension B, my number variable is set back to 1, indicating Dimension A, so when I Custom Equipment hop, I go back up to Dimension B, instead of being pushed out of the map.

So this kind of works for a moment but then the debug for my number variable eventually switches back to 1 when Custom hop back to Dimension B, when it should be 2, effectively pushing me 166 Z units up instead of back down when I Custom hop again, aka out of the map.

My other workaround was to just make a bunch of different area volumes for different rooms you're in, that will just set the number variable of which dimension you're in. but before trying that I just wanted to see how to essentially do this with a few simplified scripts

dammit did we lose with getting rid of Sera Gamble. She was cooking. I still love a lot of episodes after S7 but you could really tell there was an honorable extension after the original vision with kripke (in my opinion for the better) versus what came after.

For DK64 can it be playable at 3am Eastern? Or do they update the virtual console sometime later in the day?

Hello all, my best friend has been having a really rough year, lots of moving, stress about finding a job after years of working their butt off for their dream job, living in a new place and settling in.

They're killing it but I know it's stressful so I wanted to send a big ol care package of goodies their way.

I've got a few good gift ideas that line up with hobbies/interests they love that they haven't gotten to indulge in for a while, but one thing that is semi new is Mario Party.

They have been obsessed with jamboree lately to the point that I bought it myself, and we've been playing it almost 4-5 nights a week. We've never really gamed much together in the past so it's kind of like a personal gift to finish off the others.

So to add to the gift package I wanted to have something jamboree related if anyone can help me come up with ideas. I had an idea which I thought was pretty cute, was like a small clay sculpture I could make of me, Toadette, riding on DK's back(friend), but I've never done anything like that before. Would be fun for me and inexpensive I imagine, but just curious for different ideas.

I had another similar idea of having me and their partner (waluigi) roasting DK on a rotisserie, because they're evil and relentless at jamboree, but I don't know if I can pull off that level of detail lol.

that being said I'm not opposed to just buying a DK plush and Toadette plush. just spitballing
