Would buying a house in Kaukauna be a huge mistake?

Specifically, north of the paper mill in Kaukauna.

My wife and I are looking at houses and we found one that we’re both excited about, but it’s located about a mile north/northeast of the paper mill. Some research tells me this is right in the path of where the wind likes to take that smelly smell from the mill…

Has anybody lived in this area of Kaukauna? Would it be a dealbreaker for you? How often is the stench bad enough to actually impact your quality of life significantly?

Love the house but don’t want to buy it and find out I can spend any time in backyard without feeling sick…

Edit: thank you to everybody who’s responded! I am feeling better about it and probably won’t let it stop me from making an offer. I see a common theme about hard water issues, but that’s not a dealbreaker for me either. Thank you!

How much time should I give my real estate agent to respond to my texts?

As a first-time homebuyer, I’m not sure what’s reasonable to expect from my real estate agent, so I’m looking for some opinions before I escalate things. I don’t want to be unreasonable, but I also want to make sure I’m advocating for myself.

We met with an agent for the first time on Wednesday evening. She walked us through the buying process and set us up with an MLS search.

Thursday morning, we received our pre-approval. I sent it to her, and she acknowledged receiving it. In that same message, I asked if she could increase our price range in the MLS search based on our pre-approval so we could see more homes. (I don’t think I can edit the search myself.)

I never received a response to that request.

Then around 6 PM Thursday, my wife texted her two homes we’d like to see and asked if she could help schedule showings. One of the homes had just been listed that day.

As of 10 AM Friday, we still haven’t received any response or acknowledgment to either message.
Is it reasonable for me to be concerned about this level of communication, or am I expecting too much? I completely understand that agents are busy, but I also know homes can move quickly, so I’m worried about missing opportunities if this is typical.

Seeking recommendations for real estate agents in the Fox Valley

My wife and I are first time homebuyers and will be starting our home search this summer. We’ll be looking for homes anywhere in the Fox Valley.

As first time homebuyers, we’re not super familiar with the process and looking for an agent who’s a good communicator and can guide us through the steps!

Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

Edit: our budget is in the $300K range if that matters.

Is there a way to “swap” the titles that a vassal holds without losing opinion or causing tyranny?

I am playing as the King of Ireland and I have a vassal who holds the Dutchy of Connacht and two of the counties within it.

This vassal has decided to conquer a county in the southeast of the main island, a few counties away from the other counties that she already holds. As somebody who likes to keep things neat and organized, this kinda bugs me…

I was thinking that I’m okay with her holding three counties but I’d rather she just hold all three counties in Connacht rather than two of the three + a random county farther away.

I know I could simply revoke her title in the southeast and then immediately grant her the extra county in Connacht to help offset some of the opinion loss. But I believe this will cause tyranny.

Is there an effective way to navigate this to make it go as smoothly as possible?
