My son watched me play Bloodborne a few months ago and asked if he could try it. He’s been making short work of the bosses so far. He killed Micolash on his 3rd attempt.
He’s absolutely obsessed with the game. I bought a copy of the art book for him and he looks through it every night before bed and he wants to dress up as a hunter for Hallowe’en.
I’ve got a Badboy that I bought around 11 or so years ago. The front disk brake calipers are busted (the cable is no longer sufficiently gripped as the nut holding the clip just slips when tightening). The caliper itself says it’s a Promax 310 but I can’t find a replacement unit. Does anyone know another unit that might fit with a minimum of fuss (as I’m a ham-fisted poltroon)?
I know this is the City Fibre sub but I saw a few other 4th Utility threads on here so I thought I’d ask a question: Do any other 4U customers suddenly have problems with apps suddenly thinking they’re behind a VPN? My nipper tried to watch something on iplayer via the AppleTV this morning but got a message that the content was for UK users only. I tried the itv app and it said it looked like I was behind a vpn.
It was all fine last night but today not so much. Anyone else got this issue? I do have access to a vpn at device level but not on or between the router.
Initially I thought it might be something and the Apple account level on my account as everything goes through that but when my wife got home she had the same issue on her phone.
I tried a website that says it looks at your ip number and tells you where you are but this said I was located in the uk.

Loving my hichord so far (as is my 9yr old son) but I have two questions-
1 - when using certain settings through the speaker , such as the sine wave, I get some nasty “clicking” at higher volumes (as the setting is itself quite quiet the volume does need to be up). The noise isn’t there through headphones just through the speaker. Anyone else get this?
2 - using the companion app and the “generate sample (a.i.)” - is this just supposed to find an existing sample that matches the description or does it try to create a specific sample based on the description? I tried the church organ example and it seemed to work and it sounded similar to an existing setting (can’t remember which one). Trying a more extravagant description results in a “generating” message the an error message debug displayed on the hichord which then goes to a “creating” message. Is it the app or the hichord (or both) that;s creating the error? I’ll get some more detailed repro steps when I can. I’m using chrome on a m1 MacBook Pro to connect.

WRT the clicking here are the sounds most obviously affected and the volume level when the clicking becomes most apparent.

Fm piano - 75 the overall sound (not the clicking) is very quiet even at 100
Clarinet - 80 a bit quiet, not as quiet as the fm piano though.

Sine - 20 but the clicking tone at lower volumes is deeper

Clicking is typically at the end of the sound. The clicking only really seems apparent when playing through the speaker in the unit.
Hi there. Got my mini 4 today and initially all was fine but now when I connect to GarageBand or Ableton and DAW mode is selected the display on the unit goes blank.
It worked initially for me but after less than an hour it’s gone cranky. If it’s not connected I can switch between daw and plugin. If it’s connected I can see prst2:plugins but pressing the daw button blanks the display.
Edit: solved! I saw several posts on YouTube complaining of a similar problem but with no answers. I stepped back as to what I was doing when it happened. I was in the plugins section of Ableton selecting one of the free drum kits as per the tutorial. This changed the mode of the mini4 from daw to plugins so I guessed it was some comms error between the software and the unit. I read several posts that mentioned weird behaviour resulting from incorrect setup on macOS using Ableton (it seems you need to follow a specific set of options when setting it up). I deleted the midi device in the Marc midi studio app, reconnected and the screen behaved as expected after following their instructions.
