Someone please help save my sanity
I was given an Ender 5 Plus, it has the silent mainboard and bltouch upgrades, and I just swapped out and upgraded the extruder, hotend, etc. This is my first ever exploration into 3D printing, so please forgive my extreme ignorance...
I have figured this shit out up to the software side of things. From a hardware side, it works fine now. However, this whole Z Axis thing is really fucking with me and is inconsistent. I realized it's on an old firmware (1.70.2BL) so I figured I would install/flash firmware.
I got up to a point of getting SOMETHING to happen on screen, but it freezes right after the .BMP transfer and does/shows nothing else. Rebooted, now it loads into a blank screen. Tells me the firmware failed... maybe I'm using the wrong firmware, I don't know... I genuinely do not understand this side of things and just want to get my printer set up so I can start printing.
Can someone please give me clear, direct, step by step instructions with the files I need linked in the order of steps so I can use this thing. I am autistic and a wall of text that provides all these extra "if you wanna go the extra step, do this" overloads and I get lost. So just whatever it is that I need. I don't care the pros and cons of the different modded firmwares to try. I just need SOMETHING to work. Because right now, I have a 2'x2' brick sitting in my office.
