17f dental student from Thailand here, I’m looking for some dating advice.

I’ve always been attracted to nerdy guys like people who are passionate about their interests, enjoy learning, and can have long conversations about things they love. The problem is that I rarely seem to meet the kind of “smart stem nerd” im looking for. Most of the guys I end up matching with are either not very academically inclined (who say they’re nerds tho?) or our interests just don’t overlap much (im into biology and chem!!)

For those of you who date nerdy/STEM types, where do you actually meet them? Are there hobbies, communities, or apps that tend to attract that crowd? And what makes someone appealing to that type of person? I’m curious whether I’m looking in the wrong places or if I just have unrealistic expectations.
Ps. Is using nerdy the wrong word, should I use another word to describe my type? 😭
