We have a driver currently driving away from our location, who has had our food since 8:23 PM. Tried to use the Grubhub chat feature and the CSR is saying they can’t do anything, to let us know if it hasn’t arrived by 9:34 PM.

I’m sorry? So we should be ok with food that has been in someone’s vehicle for over an hour? How is this acceptable? Driver is picking up and delivering other peoples food while we are sitting here hungry. Thanks but no thanks, we’ll be ordering direct from the restaurants go forward.

So my neighbors are (apparently) bigger scumbags than I thought they were, and we have a small space in front of our homes that we both throw our trash. (City street so too many cars parked, and our steps meet at the same small area).

Last Wednesday, they left 2 mattresses out that were not picked up with the trash. We always use the back door, so I didn’t get a good look at them. And they have been laying there all week.

I just got home from work and found a citation from the city stating “MATTRESS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS” as the reason they didn’t pick them up, need to treat and cover with plastic which they did not do. My husband called and got it sorted out, so the city removed the citation from my address… but there has been infested mattresses laying out front of my house for a whole week!

So now I’m freaking out. Are we screwed? Are we going to get infested now too? I used to live in NYC and know how good they are at finding a way into your home… and how they can traumatize you and how hard they are to get rid of. Im kicking myself for not inspecting sooner and causing a major stink. 😭
