I don't have exact analytics set-up - they'll come along when HACS get around to reviewing and adding it to the official store.

Thanks to Power Perks polling my server regularly I was able to extract some usage figures when someone at EDF asked me earlier.

There are at least 500 unique installations up and running. (I'm responsible for about 10 of them with my various test systems!).

Never quite imagined this little project becoming so widely useful.

Thanks to everyone who's shared it to help spread the word, given feedback, reported issues, used a referral link or made a contribution of some sort.
It's been a surprising chunk of work - but the fact it's proving useful is very rewarding.

Not HomeAssistant specific - but a heads-up that EDF have launched an 18month fixed version of GoElectric.

Still 6.66p + VAT (until the VAT reduction for 6 months from 1st October).
The standing charges are modestly lower. The day rate very slightly higher.

Given the state of the market, and that Eon have made their offering almost as unappealing as Octopus I've jumped to re-fix even though my fix wasn't up until May '27.

If you ask very nicely they might even waive the £75 exit fee (they have for me and a few others...).

Don't get me started on the state of gas prices - I hope everyone is already fixed.
If not - Fuse continues to be the best around as far as I can see - shout if anyone wants a referral for £100 bill credit.

Hi everyone,

Lots of new EDF offerings today - time will tell how they work out versus Sunday Saver - but we are where we are...

The APIs and details are still becoming evident - much of the control of these new offerings are app only which may make things a bit more challenging to automate - but I like a challenge.
Some of it I wont be able to integrate until the offers start running - so stay tuned and I'll post updates here as I implement each feature.

Anyone else got multiple free TasteCards and never found them good offers?? Just me?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2022 MG5 here in the UK which is a lease car on salary sacrifice from my employer - I mention this as maintenance/servicing etc is the lease company's responsibility not mine.

It's generally great - but I've had a few issues here and there lately:

1. When charging at home it seems to decide it's full and start rejecting more charge at 79% or 89% of charge. The charger is trying to feed it and is giving a message back of 'Vehicle is not requesting charge'.

2. Once or twice a month I get a 'HV Battery Fault' and a refusal to start. This despite having foot on the petal and wiggling the steering wheel on pressing the start button.

3. Today we've piled into the car to take the kids out and it starts then shows 'Motor Fault' on the screen. Turning off and on a few times and the same error recurs. (today is another day the car should have been at 100% by charging schedule but started rejecting charge once it got to 89% full).

The leasing company support line have advised to lock the car, and move away with the keys for 20 mins and try again - but this feels a bit fishy (I work in IT - so I'm a bit of a hypocrite here no doubt!).

Are my senses that this needs to go to MG for a proper diagnostic on the right track?

(the bookmarklet is read only, you log into the EDF Your Account site first - it just uses your browser to call an API to get your latest transactions from EDF).

[I will build an up to date transactions view into a future release for HA too - the bookmarklet was just a quick and dirty proof of concept as I wanted to know how much football credit I had!]

Hello,

I have the older style 2022 MG5 (without the app).

A few times now when connected to my home charger it just refuses to charge.

The charger reports that the vehicle is not requesting a charge.

Usually if I notice and go out, unlock it and disconnect the cable then reinsert it starts up and plays nice.

Sometimes it does it mid way through a charging process - sometimes the charge is rejected immediately when the charger starts.

Any ideas?

Curious. The note says that EDF Intend to add an API key to the online accounts at some stage - but there appears to be one already in place on this developer's test version.

(this release is currently a very early alpha - it is unlikely to land this month, unless the heatwave goes and my brain wakes up with it).

Drawing a pretty consistent 14kw here - didn't get things organised soon enough to have the the tumble dryer ready to go - but car charging and house battery topping up for free.
Dishwasher on.

In my slightly more obsessive moment I did plug in my electric toothbrush and shaver (usually needs charging twice a year). Neither made the dials move much!
