First Use Of My New RBTR Nettles Hammock

I built a netless hammock from RBTR, using some 1.8 oz airwave, and some RED Amsteel blue. Hung it with some inexpensive Amazon straps. Tarp is also an Amazon special (for now) hung over some zing-it, which I spliced some titanium bits into from Dutchware.

Also spliced an adjustable structural ridge line for the hammock. This was the most comfortable I’ve been in a hammock, despite low 30s overnight.

Upcoming projects are going to be an underquilt and a nicer tarp to round out the setup.

Where is this?

In 2015 I went bike riding with a buddy to scope out a potential paddling spot. This schoolhouse was near our parking spot. We can’t remember where this was, and I’d really like to go back to the ponds to revisit the trip.

Anyone have any idea?

Main water shutoff leaking

I’m looking to replace this shutoff. The t is the main water shutoff for our house, and it is leaking out of the top shaft. I have tightened the stuffing cap(?) and that doesn’t seem to have fixed anything.

If I’m looking at this correctly, there appears to be a compression fitting on the black HDPE, then the shutoff valve is threaded onto that, and a nipple goes into the meter.

Can I just get a compression to FIP ball valve shut off?

Will this fit a 30 inch stove?

The cynic in me says not a chance. The realist says that all the stoves are “30 inches” and it’s a rough measurement.

Which is right?
