Finally! I have noob questions.

I obtained this 2021 Fender Japan Traditional 60s Jazzmaster this weekend.

Sounds great! My first guitar with a trem. First roasted neck. The owner was a big fan of Ariel Posen… going to swap the knobs. But he did a great job sanding the neck. Said the gloss was getting sticky and he was going for Novo style sanding on the back. Feels great to me.

The bridge is a Bensonite Jazzmaster Bridge V2 - Brass - 9.5'' radius.

Looking to sell a first batch Polarbear Drowner Deluxe.

Here’s what has been added since V4:

Choice of symmetrical, asymmetrical, or no diode clipping on the gain

EQ on the gain

Octave fuzz knob (gnarly, awesome)

8 tremolo waveforms with depth and rate knob. Can be applied to dry and wet sound or just dry.

Separate footswitches for gain side and effects side. Can run either independently.

Left side has the same bit crush, 3 reverbs, and 3 delays, and the wet effects have buttons in a row along the bottom for easier operation

It is the size of an EAE Sending, in a shiny aluminum enclosure. Mono with an FX loop.

Longtime lurker, first-time SOTB / NPD post!

Hey, I just hit a year of trading pedals and building my first board, and I wanted to come out of the shadows and thank you all for the info and fun new hobby of mine. I've learned a ton about signal path and unexpected stuff like MIDI from you all. Kinda felt like sharing my story!

I've been playing many years and I had been satisfied with the same ol' handful of pedals, carelessly strewn about on the floor, never really considering upgrades. See pic 2. But I needed to change something to regain inspiration to play guitar and welp... I guess I got carried away.

It was supposed to be "one or two" new pedals, $500-700 at most. Maybe a fancier reverb and a lo-fi weirdo. You know the drill. But trading is just so fun and it's such a nice community from the players to the builders. I check all the spots daily like an addict. Maybe that's not great. This (and a Benson Delay, ACS1, Ditto not pictured) totals out to $1,850 spent, not counting cabling or power and after selling all but the Ditto in pic 2. That's a Hands board I got for $60! So, a lot of money on one hand but a nice investment and lots of good deals on the other.

So here we are. I am loving the versatility on this board. Inspiration achieved. I've tried about 40 pedals so far and I really feel like I've found my sound and even somewhat improved my play along the way. Got something here for just about every sound that I like. I am very interested in EAE's next pedal but other than that, I'm not really looking for awhile. Should focus on recording.

I probably don't have much to say about the individual pedals that hasn't already been said. I think the EAE stuff, the Gamechanger Light, and the Meridian are pretty special.

What do y'all think? Any pedals that you'd like opinions about or anything? What are some pedals that are critical to your personal sound?
