After 30 years of not riding a bike, I guess I joined a gang. 2025 Trek Roscoe 7
So, I’m old. But have a good friend that’s been slowly convincing me to get into Mtn biking with him. Truth is, I needed a physical outlet. I’m starting by building my endurance and confidence on some local gravel/wide open groomed trails at a local park. I’ve got all the essentials. Looking for a bit of advice on a couple of gear items.
A storage bag to frame mount, not large, just big enough for multi-tool, plug kit, etc abd maybe my phone.
Budget friendly bike gps/trail computer gadget thing. Preferably not $400. Or is a quad lock and phone mount a viable replacement?
Good Fanny pack/hip pack could be an option instead if the frame mount or both potentially. Thoughts?
Thanks!
For an out of tower what’s a good restaurant suggestion in Chinatown?
As the title says. In town for a couple more days, I’ve asked a couple of questions in here and you guys have not disappointed. Btw, my wife and I love your city! Where should we have a late lunch in China town before going to 2nd city?
Best Dispensaries near the Sheraton Grand?
Hello,
My wife and I will be visiting later in the week staying at the Sheraton Grand in the River North district I believe. What is the best dispensary in that area? We will be traveling about the city but I would prefer to find somewhere within walking distance if possible but will travel for a better experience.
Ribs and Pickin for me today
Happy Memorial Day
Might we always remember those who sacrificed it all.
I was recently gifted this squire by fender guitar from a client of mine. I play acoustic, or rather I practice acoustic. Obviously the answer is to learn how to also play electric now. I’ve got a fishman loudbox, I would think I’d want a different amp for this guitar? What else do I need to add? Any advice on adding a little electric to my mix?
Finally reaching the end of my 2 week notice, last official meeting with my old company is today. I’ll go over my last couple of jobs that won’t close out before my last day tomorrow so they’re up to speed. I landed what I consider a great offer from a company I want to work for, a couple of weeks ago. I start Monday. I’m a project manager in the residential construction industry. Not gonna lie, I’ve got a bit of new job anxiety. There was a ton of security in my old job and they’re great people to work for but the job itself is burn out city. 30+ jobs in various levels of the construction process, low base salary, fair bonus structure but limited growth.
New job is double my base salary, less open jobs to manage, better company structure, no homeowner interaction, and great bonus and benefits package, plus upward mobility. I’m excited, don’t get me wrong, just a bit anxious going from comfortable but stressed and under paid to new job with new people and processes.
