Right turn signal not working

Hey everyone,

I’m hoping someone can help me narrow down an electrical issue on my 2015 Scion FR-S.

The car currently has aftermarket Spyder LED taillights, and the passenger rear turn signal stopped working.
Symptoms:

Driver side turn signal works normally.
Passenger brake light works.
Passenger running/tail light works.
Passenger rear turn signal does not illuminate.
When using the right turn signal, I get hyperflash on the dash.

The left turn signal works perfectly.
When I turn on the hazards, the left side flashes normally, but on the right side the front turn signal/side marker flickers or strobes, while the rear passenger turn signal still does not light.

What I’ve already tried:
Swapped in another taillight that was known to work.
The problem stayed on the passenger side.
Brake light still worked, but the rear turn signal still didn’t.
AutoZone checked the fuses, and nothing obvious was found.

Since the brake light works, I don’t think the connector is completely dead.

At this point I’m thinking it’s one of the following:
Bad connector/pin at the passenger taillight
Broken turn signal wire near the taillight
Bad ground
Previous owner’s wiring modification for the Spyder lights

Before I start tearing apart the rear harness, does this sound like a common issue on the FR-S/BRZ/86 platform? Is there a known failure point for the passenger rear turn signal wiring, or is there anything else I should test first with a multimeter?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Trustworthy Shops in Central Texas

Hey guys! As the title says, do y’all know of any trustworthy shops that’ll do an engine swap for a good price? (I’ll be providing the engine block etc.) I’m in central TX area (Harker Heights) and so far the local shops are charging me upwards of almost $2,400 to $3,000 for labor alone. Is this normal range of price for labor on swapping the motor?
