Empties from April 21 - June 30, 2026

It’s been 75 days since my first empties/pan post. Here are the empties I accumulated since then!

TOP LEFT -> TOP RIGHT

1.) LAURA MERCIER Tinted Blur Balm - as usual haha. I am trying to look for an alternative for this as Laura Mercier does animal testing if local law allows… but I am having trouble looking for an alternative that performs like this…

2.) ANUA 10+ Azelaic Acid & Hyaluron Serum - this is my 5th bottle since I started using it on May 2025. That should tell you how good this serum is! While not on PETA’s Cruelty Free list, ANUA does not do animal testing. South Korea has a strict ban on animal testing - which is one of the reasons why I love Korean brands.

3.) HEVE BLUE Salmon Caring Centella Ampoule - nothing amazing. Will not repurchase. HEVE BLUE is a cruelty free Korean brand too.

4.) BURT’S BEES Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia - loved the color but man this lip balm tasted awful! I got a 2 pack so i am still trying to empty the other tube. BURT’S BEES is certified cruelty free.

5.) ROVECTIN Calming Lotus Cream - this is my 2nd tube! I use this as my morning moisturizer. I will definitely repurchase but not now since i have a SKIN1004 hYalu Cica moisturizer i am still trying to use up. ROVECTIN is also certified cruelty free.

6.) BIORE UV Aqua Rich Sunscren - this used to be my fave back in my 20s. Then i started trying different brands. I bought this on a nostalgic whim when I went to a Japanese store and I got reminded as to why I loved this. I have since repurchased a 3 pack online when it was on major sale so i will be using this for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, Biore is not entirely cruelty free. Biore products in Western Markets (like this one) is cruelty free but products sold in China are historically subject to animal testing. I am unsure if I will repurchase after finishing the 3 tubes I bought on sale.

7.) NUMBUZIN NO 1 Clear Filter Essence Sunscreen - this was my favorite the last year or so. Works great under makeup! I find it frustrating to repurchase (i have repurchased this 3x) bec I can’t get this specific sunscreen from Numbuzin store in Amazon (yes, i double check if it is the official store so I dont end up buying fakes). I always had to repurchase from YesStyle or OliveYoung online and had to buy in bulk to save on shipping (hence the 3x tubes purchased - all at the same time). NUMBUZIN is considered cruelty free (they only sell online in China so they don’t have to do animal testing).

8.) HEVE BLUE Salmon Caring Centella Cream w PDRN and Salmon Egg extract - my favorite PM moisturizer. This is my 4th tube. This PDRN line is cruelty free but not vegan.

9.) HEVE BLUE Salmon Caring Centella Toner - a great toner but I just always forget to put toner after I wash my face so this step isn’t really a big deal for me. Will not repurchase purely bec of that.

10.) COSRX Advance Snail 96 Mucin Essence - it was a struggle for me to finish this (i don’t like putting toner or essence) and will not repurchase. COSRX has been purchased by Amorepacific - while still a Korean brand (no animal testing), they sell in physical stores in China where it is “legally mandated to do animal testing”.

While I am not vegan/vegetarian, I try my best to be mindful when I purchase. I prefer brands that do not do animal testing so I really try not to buy from brands that sell in physical stores in China.

FYI: Cruelty free does not mean vegan - it means no animals were harmed or tested. The term “cruelty free” does not regulate how animal-derived products are harvested. So if you are looking for cruelty free & vegan, Some of my empties like the HEVE BLUE PDRN Line will not work for you.

I forgot the Cnovel Title but i remember so many details! Help!

Ancient China setting, Transmigration, FL was a surgeon in her past life.

Here are the points of the novel I remember:
1.) FL transmigrated into the body of a minister’s daughter. She has a twin brother who is studying to be a scholar.
Her father is the eldest son of the family and has no concubines. She has second uncles and some cousins. Not so sure about a third uncle.

FL was lost as a baby? She was raised by an elderly doctor man who used to be a member of a well known family of doctors in the capital. She has been learning medicine since she was a child. Her adoptive father keeps leaving. She is reunited with her mother, father & twin brother with the help of the ML. The ML has been helping her in secret and has feelings for her.

FL and ML were married as kids in the country side. When FL comes of age and they were supposed to consummate, FL was suddenly told that the ML died and was kicked out. But really, the ML had to fake his death to go back to the capital.

2.) FL used to be a surgeon and she uses her medical skills in that era. I remember her
A - Performing a cleft palate surgery on the emperor’s nephew (surnamed Fan). Lord Fan and family actually hid the fact that they carry a cleft palate gene in their family and all blamed the wives who married in.
B - Healing a border prince (i think Prince Yu?)’s broken legs by using willow wood - Prince Yu actually falls in love with her and is the 2nd male lead.
C - Doing heart surgery at some point

3.) ML is the heir to a marquis household whose mom (legitimate wife) was forced to stay in a “buddhist hall” or “family temple”? He was also poisoned and i think he uses a wheelchair. His father and him don’t have a good relationship and his father elevated the concubine and dotes on the illegitimate son.

4.) ML is trusted by the emperor. He is the head of i think secret guards.

5.) The second uncle is obsessed with getting a male heir but the legitimate wife only gave birth to a daughter. She was forced to get pregnant again but i think she dies (?). Second uncle finally gets a concubine pregnant & gets a son. In the previous life/version, this cousing (the daughter) goes mad and chokes the baby boy to death in revenge for her and her mother’s suffering. I think she was married off to a bad/lecherous guy?

EDIT: I found it! It took me 2 hours i combed thru every novel in my “read” list - the title is The Wife of the Powerful Official is a Divine Doctor by the same author who wrote Tyrannical Wang’s Beloved Wife

Rook and Conch on my other ear - are they uneven?

Hey all! Last March i had the rook and conch done on my other ear. Today I was downsizing my conch and I asked my piercer if it was ok to do the other ear and she said since my previous rook & conch were healing great she would do my other ear.

PIC 2 - Ear that gor pierced last March (sorry if there is a crusty we tried to remove but it was stubborn so i’m just waiting for it to soften up when i’m showering or using salt spray) I am using H2Ocean Body Piercing Spray.

Last time the conch and rook were not so painful (only when she was putting the earring in was the rook really painful) but this ear… hurt a bit more.
conch was a 3/10 Rook was 5/10 -> earring placement was a 7-8/10 for sure that one HURT!

ANYWAYS, when my piercer was marking my ear she really wanted to make sure it was even. She erased and drew the points/markers again and again to “make sure”. I checked too and the marks looked like they were even. When the piercing was done, i noticed the newly pierced rook looks longer? My piercer said she is pretty sure she used the same length of the bar and everything. She said not all ears have the same folds (?). I did not want to take it out and re-do it (this one hurt a lot more than last time).

Can y’all pls check? Am I overreacting/overthinking? Was my piercer mistaken when she said she used the same length? I’m not really bothered by it to the point where I want to be OCD and take it out.

Do they look even?
