Someone stated in another thread how great Plain Jane ("PJ") CRKs can be. I very much agree. This is the plainest one I own, but it's fantastic, so practical. It's a sandblasted small Sebenza 31 with Insingo blade and double silver lugs. I love all my CRKs with inlays, but this one is special in its own way...it feels noticeably sleeker (aka thinner) in the hand. The sandblasted finish shows marks more than the glass-blasted finish, but its texture makes it a little grippier. Also, CRK will re-sandblast them for you, or even upgrade them to glass-blasted for $50 (plus shipping,) if you decide to go that route.
I was delighted to receive this from Penchetta, a CRK Authorized Dealer, today. It was sold on consignment. It appears LNIB. There might be a hint of wear on the original pocket clip, but only a hint.
Got this one from Nordic Knives, which is in Boise. I believe they just picked up their order in person and put them right online. It took a couple days to get to me.
Anybody else get such a fresh CRK?
I have a Mnandi and a small Sebenza 31 in Macassar Ebony, but both examples are very dark and very bland. I have looked through some new options online and am tempted by a couple, but I just don't know if I should hold out for better.
Would people share photos of the best Macassar Ebony inlays they have seen on CRKs?
Thanks a bunch!
