Inner Corner Highlighter

So I’ve been using the NYX Eye Pencil in the shade Frosting for years now, but I feel like it’s just not doing enough for me anymore. It’s more ashy than shiny and it doesn’t give the highlight I want for the inner corner of my eyes.

Does anyone have highlighter or eyeshadow recommendations that are good for this? I was looking into the NYX Buttermelt Highlighter but the shade I wanted was sold out.

I also have brown skin and prefer shades that are a bit warmer.

Novaform Mattress Topper

I’ve been looking for mattress toppers for a twin-sized dorm bed, and I think I might try out the 3” Novaform ComfortLuxe topper on Costco for $160.

Does anyone have experience with using this one? How is it?

Mattress topper for dorm?

I’ll be moving into my dorm in a couple of months and I’m assuming I’ll need a mattress topper for the bed there, but I have no idea where to start/what to look for in a topper.

I’ll only have a twin bed for 8 months, so I don’t know if it’s worth getting a $$$ topper for it. My parents are paying for it though, so if it’s really worth it I don’t think they’d mind (within reason).

Does anyone have suggestions for brands, stores, or specific toppers I could look into? What qualities should I be looking for when shopping for a good topper?

Single Rooms

Did anyone manage to get a single in ANY building (PGCLL, LP, Hedden, etc.)? Is everything reserved for accommodations???

I tried using the live chat but they said these are all the rooms that are available and they won’t be releasing any more, so I went with a double in LP. Really wanted that super single in PG 💔

Prom Hairstyle Suggestions?

For reference (pic 2): I have long and pretty thick hair with layers, face framing, and curtain bangs. I love curly hairstyles but I absolutely suck at doing my own hair (barely manage to use a curling wand well enough on a good day), so I’m probably going to get my hair done by someone else for prom.

I always wear my hair down and curled for most occasions, but I don’t know what would look the best with my dress. I feel like I should take the opportunity to do something a little more interesting with my hair. Would it look better if I did a half-up half-down sort of situation or a messy bun? I really like voluminous hairstyles and I don’t want to keep my hair slicked back or anything similar.

1PM June 15th!

I got a pretty good timeslot to pick my res, so I feel like I’ll have a decent shot at getting a single or PG?

I’m not sure whether to plan for a single with an ensuite in LP/Hedden (or connected shared in PG) or suite-style in Mary Keyes. I really want my own space but the meal plan is way cheaper for Mary Keyes, and it might be easier to make friends. Thoughts? 🥲

Physics 1AA3

I’m taking Physics 1A03 in first year, but I was wondering if I should also take 1AA3 if I want to apply to medical schools (Canadian and international) in the future?

I haven’t done grade 12 physics, but I really liked grade 11 physics and did well in it. How difficult is it to get a high grade in 1AA3, and how does it compare to highschool physics/1A03?

first year life sci courses

now that course enrolment is coming up soon, ive been looking into the courses ill have to take in first year and i wanted to ask about other people’s experiences with different courses and electives.

aside from bio 1a03/1m03, chem 1a03/1aa3, math 1ls3, and physics 1a03, what courses did you guys take in first year? (also, how were the math and physics courses compared to hs content-wise?) i want to keep my options open in case i end up applying to us/international med schools, but i dont know if i should take physics 1aa3 or pick a “bird” course instead this year. i dropped 4u physics before midterms (after finishing the conservation of energy unit) because i found it really dry/boring and my teacher was kind of unhinged, but i enjoyed 3u and did pretty well in it.

i want to take 2 psych courses (1x03/1xx3), so i believe that leaves 2 spaces for electives if i dont take a second physics? im kind of interested in doing a minor in humanities or something too, but i narrowed down my top elective choices to anthrop 1ab3, biochem 1mm3, and hthsci 1dt3.

would love to hear about anyone’s experiences with these courses and any advice/suggestions!

Baby Blue Prom Dress Makeup?

I don’t usually do any looks with eyeshadow, but all of my palettes are full of neutral tones so I’m debating what kind of eye makeup I should do. I want something with glitter but I don’t have a lot of lid space and there’s a lot of creases on my eyelids (not exactly hooded eyes). Should I buy a blue eyeshadow that matches my dress or just stick to silver and cool neutrals? I don’t know if I should try doing something like a smoky eye or cut crease.

I have the Physician’s Formula Diamond Dust in Starlit Glow, which I could probably use as a highlighter or topper. I also just recently ordered the Kiss Impress Voluminous lash clusters so I’ll be using those!

▲ 0 r/Cruise

Recently went on a cruise in December with my family of 4, and we all have very mixed opinions on cruising after that experience but kind of want to give it another try.

For starters, we usually research a LOT before booking any sort of trip, but this one was a last-minute booking because we’d decided to tag along with some of our friends who’d already planned it in advance. It was a 3 night Royal Caribbean cruise from Ft. Lauderdale with stops in Nassau and CocoCay, and the ship was Liberty of the Seas. (If I’d been the one to plan this, we definitely would’ve gone for Utopia instead..)

The teens had lots of fun in the teen club and there were plenty of activities to keep us all entertained throughout the day, so we were never bored. I regret not staying on the boat at Nassau, felt like a waste of half a day.. but we loved CocoCay! We’re an all-inclusive family but definitely found cruising more fun in that regard.

However, the food was notably awful. Unappetizing and very few options outside of the Windjammer buffet, so tough luck if you were hungry and wanted a snack between mealtimes. Food in the MDR was pretty disappointing too, and the drinks everywhere were.. not that great. Is this an issue with all cruises, or are there other cruise lines with better food/drinks? I’m wondering if it’s different for newer RC ships as well, since I’ve heard they have taco bars and such. We loved Sorrento’s, but I think I’d go insane if pizza was my only snack option for 5+ days.

By the time we vacation again the teens will be 18 and 14 though, so I’m wondering if there’ll be anything for the 18 y/o to do onboard if we go on another cruise. Too old for the teen club but too young to drink or socialize with other adults.

Are there any cruises (ships, cruise lines, or itineraries) you would recommend? We were thinking of a vacation in either July or December.
