I live in a red state, so there are lots of racists in the area. A lady was calling for help about 20 feet away. I barely heard her because I was under a speaker. It sounded like a yipping noise at first.

I approached her and apologized for not hearing her immediately. She said “yeah, I work in retail. People call you over for help and then they don’t even speak English!”

They just love to shoehorn their bigotry in any little spot of conversation they can. I did not acknowledge the remark and helped her. This is sadly a common occurrence.

A few days ago, one of my coworkers found jizz in the employee bathroom. We aren’t sure if it was an employee or if a customer got in there, but either way…gives “thank you, come again” new meaning.
