Hmmm..

Team member left a message in red (water tastes off - machine not fixed - filter issue?), our water cooler has been having issues for the last couple of months and was just recently fixed and now the water does indeed have a weird taste to it.

A coach just left a message in gray (water tastes fine. Maybe buy water? You issue!) saw me see him write it down, took the paper down, and put it back up when I left. So I left the message in blue (why is this ok for a coach to write back? If it tastes odd, get it fixed! =) )

Wondering if I should keep putting effort into this friendship or just slowly distance myself.

I 31F have a friend 31F let’s call her A.

I have known A since 2008, we met in 8th grade. We were BEST friends when we met until we got in a fight freshman year made up senior year, since then I have considered us close/good friends.

I would say the last year and a half or so, she’s been distant with me. Like I don’t know how to explain it. We didn’t hang out a lot because we’re both busy with work and life, which is totally understandable. But, it has been me initiating hangouts. She would ask me a few times before all this, but they would be in big groups with her coworkers. I have a lot anxiety around crowds, especially if its with people I don’t know. I would politely decline and tell her I was sorry, which she would say she understood. (I would try to see her 1 on 1 something like that)

At some point, I did meet her work friends. I met them at a bar and after that I wasn’t as anxious. I’m also a quiet person by nature, anyone close to me knows this about me.

One night I was at one of their houses by a fire and they were all dropping the n-word (we’re all white except for one person in that group and her) this made me uncomfortable.

I expressed this to her and after that I stopped being invited over. But it seems that since then, she didn’t make the effort to hang out with me anymore. Maybe she never did all, because I’ve been the person initiating 95% of the hangouts between us?

But, the times she has asked me to hang out I can count on one hand. She invited me to a halloween party one month, and didn’t bring it up to me again until I had asked her about it the week of.

In the 3 months I have asked her to hang out three times. All three times she bailed on me, with the third time acknowledging that she’s been flaky about it. Has she tried to reschedule to hang out with me? No. Has she reached out to me? No. Does she have time to go to the bar with her other friends and drink with them? Yes. (multiple times a week for the last year or so) does she send me videos of her out at the bar, or her talking about having somebody over hanging out with them? Yes.

Recently, I had asked her if she wanted to be my plus one to a wedding that’s coming up in August. She said yes, this was about a month ago. weeks leading up to it I asked if she if she wanted to come/was coming and she had forgotten to ask for the day off (she got it off and we went, it was a good time and she was “happy to dance and drink”)

She lost a family member recently, and I’m trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I know she has a lot going on. I know she deals with mental health issues. I have tried talking to her about this. I have tried asking if I could come along with them sometimes to the bar and she says yes. I have asked her if things between us were okay and she has said yes.

One more thing, I house sat for her at the start of June, when she made the time to take a 5 day road trip to help a friend/coworker move. I have listened to her cry over her early 20s coworker she slept with, because I care about her. But can’t seem to be there for me when I need to vent about things. I texted her about my roommate (sister) and she left me on read so I deleted the message, only then did she have something to say.

Maybe it’s me, maybe I’m the problem. But I am tired of having to constantly question if she wants to actually be my friend or not. I don’t know if this is a friendship I should keep pouring effort in to.

Apologies for the long post, and any weird wording. I used voice to text.

Indiana Toll Road Charge?

Hi everyone, not from around here but from Ohio.

Earlier this week, I had taken a trip to Chicago and drove through the Indiana toll road. First time around I had paid the $12 and then coming back on August 6. I came back through the Indiana Toll Road entering through portage and paid without looking, I looked at my bank account noticing that it was a $40.70 charge for the toll when it should’ve been $12. What I think it happened was a semi that was in front of me had registered for my car as well. ( I was driving a jeep compass )

I called while still on the road letting them know that I’d believe I have been mischarged, at this point I was on the E. Indiana toll road entering into Ohio through the E. Ohio Turnpike. She confirmed that I was charged the wrong amount that it should’ve been $12. And that I would receive a refund for $28.70

However, this morning on Sunday, I checked my bank account seeing that there is a $65.70 charge for the Indiana toll road. Does anybody have any insight as to why it went up another $25? I sent an email in this morning to them letting them know what happened but I plan to call tomorrow because that seems to be the fastest way to resolve it.

The first $12 toll going into Indiana was paid via cash.

I don’t even know what to title this - LOL

My GM coach, I’m in one of his departments, liked me on Facebook dating. I’m sick

This genuinely might be what makes me quit this place LMFAO.

EDIT: someone made a point about this is what women go through. I’m not trying to take the piss, I just was genuinely so gobsmacked when I saw it.

Discount not working?

Hi All, I just went shopping at a separate Walmart today from the one I work at. I spent about $70 worth of stuff and when I went to go swipe my associate discount card, it said it registered it but nothing took off.

Just to double check I did a separate order for a small smaller thing and it was the same result.

Anyone else’s discount card not working?
