Ok Google not working

Hey there. Question for you guys. For some reason OK Google or hey Google is not working on my phone. I tried to look it up and it says I need to go to like voice match settings or something. I don't have that option for some reason. I'm using the newest software that's non-beta, and I feel like every other phone I've used has this feature, but this one apparently doesn't. I'm sure I'm looking in the wrong place or I've turned something off by mistake.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Pixel 10 Pro Fold - Yes or No

Hi all! I recently got into the folding market with my first phone being the Oppo Find N6. I truly love this phone, but I also wanted to try out the Samsung Galaxy tri-fold so I got that. I came to realize quickly that the tri-fold definitely was not for me as it was way too big so someone else will enjoy that one instead.

I recently noticed on the Oppo that I have a couple little scratches on the inside screen protector, the outside screen protector has a bunch of little scratches on it, stuff like that. Accessories are very hard to find, I can't replace the inside screen protector in the US, and I came to realize very recently, as I've never bought an international phone before, that I have literally no warranty on this. That gives me incredible anxiety. I have a Pixel Four watch and I have the Pixel Buds Pro 2, I love them both. My thought process has now kind of turned into, let's keep it all in the family.

What are your thoughts? How are the speakers, the battery life, the weight? Are accessories any good? Stick to first party ones? I much prefer a stock Android experience software wise as I wasn't a fan of Samsung's UI (I am coming from iOS). Color OS on the Oppo is really cool, but there are quirks that are driving me insane.

In any event, would you recommend the Pixel 10 Pro Fold? A huge draw for me is Pixel Care.

New it's the standard $1799 or what not. I saw a few Amazon deals for as low as $1050, eBay has some for like as low as $800, and Best buy open box excellent for like $1299. Just leery about getting a phone that isn't new.

Thanks!

Replacement options for unfolded screen protector

Hey all. Recently I noticed that there are two tiny blemishes on the unfolded screen protector. I know I've seen tons of advertisements and things with Oppo that say if you go to one of their centers they will gladly replace your internal and external screen protector. I have noticed that the external screen protector definitely has a few marks on it etc, I didn't think the internal one had anything until I noticed two tiny little dots and they don't come off by just wiping the screen clean. That tells me they are actual blemishes.

With living in the United States, do I have any options at all on replacing the screen protector? Everything I've read online says do not touch it you can damage it blah blah blah. I definitely do not want to damage this, but it's also making me concerned if I made the right choice buying this phone. I'm almost thinking of getting like the Pixel 10 fold or something like that because at least that way I have some kind of warranty.

In any event, if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I did get a case today from Amazon that I actually really like. It has this like finger strap on it as well as a kickstand. It's a clear more of like a hard case, so I feel like my phone is much more protected now and it barely added any weight to it. It also came with a tempered glass screen protector that was part of the front case and it was really easy to apply. That said, I'm still concerned about the interior screen. Thanks everyone!

Best Replacement Front Screen Protector?

Hey all! As the title says, what is the best replacement screen protector for the front screen of the N6? The internal screen one is great, but my external one has a few scratches on it and I can see it getting worse over time. I am using the included case and have the other official Oppo Aramid Fiber with hinge protection one on the way.

Thanks in advance for any ideas! Thank you! :-)

Any Way to Increase Headphone Volume?

Hi all! I really love this phone, but the headphone volume seems low in comparison to the Galaxy Z TriFold. I have tried the following headphones:

  • Google Pixel Buds Pro 2
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro
  • Beats Powerbeats Pro 2

I've used the apps for all 3, and it's the same results. On the Galaxy Z TriFold, the volume is much richer, much louder.

Is there a setting I am missing that I need to turn on for more volume (maybe a Dolby Atmos setting)? I checked, but can't find anything.

Thank you!

Insured Through Assurion Tech Care

Hi all! I read a TON of posts about insurance ranging from nobody actually providing insurance, being capped a specific amount, etc. While I realize not the most "financially appropriate" insurance, I signed up for the $39/month Tech Care program through Asurion. I was able to talk to someone on the phone since I had questions and they were awesome.

You should know, when I signed up online, and put that I had the TriFold, it immediately found it and came back. It showed the exact model number, I added the IMEI, etc. Uploaded my proof of purchase from Samsung. It was awesome! I also added my new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, Galaxy Buds Pro 4, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Steam Deck. The point is, they were great and when I just checked, it absolutely has the correct model #, correct everything (remember, I never typed the model # - it was in their system and populated when I added the IMEI).

I don't see myself having this phone for longer than 6-12 months, so at least a little bit of peace of mind is good to have.

Good luck all!

Hi! I'm new to this subreddit and am searching for opinions of Trifold owners.

I have an Oppo Find N6 that I actually love. I've had zero issues with it (save for not being able to get good accessories and the ones I got I don't love). In any event, my favorite thing about this phone is the lack of a visible crease. I love how pocketable it is, works well all around, etc. Only negative is it has AGGRESSIVE auto brightness, but that's easily resolved just manually adjusting it.

I have a chance to get a brand new, unopened Z Trifold for $3100 after tax (from an incredibly kind friend with the original receipt, etc.).

Thoughts on the Z Trifold vs. the Oppo? Are the creases awful? How are the speakers? Does anyone own both and do you have a preference? How's typing on it? I heard that there was some software issue where apps wouldn't continue from folding mode to closed mode, but I think that got resolved.

Thank you very much in advance - your input is appreciated ^_^!

Question - noticed the front screen protector already has a scratch on it. Since it is the pre-installed plastic like one from the factory, I was wondering if anyone knew of a really good aftermarket one that works really well and is good quality? I'm in the US so it would need to be something I could get here or have imported here.

Thanks in advance! ☺️😀

Okay, this might be a ridiculous question and I apologize in advance if it is. Please show me some grace as I've been an iPhone user for 11 years lol.

I just got this phone last week. I also got a new Pixel Watch 4. While at the Google store in Chicago, picking up a few watch bands, I asked one of their techs how to remove the profanity filter. They asked what I meant so I showed them that if you use Gemini to send any kind of text message, and if you swear, it actually blocks out most of the word with stars. The gentleman had no idea and he tried a whole bunch of different things, but nothing worked.

Does anyone know how to turn this off? I don't mean to sound juvenile, but even with Siri she doesn't block anything out. I have looked and looked and looked and I don't see anywhere in the phone where this is blocked. I'm probably just missing something silly.

Thank you in advance for your help, and much like everyone else here, I cannot get over how good this phone is. It's insane. I still have an iPhone for work, but Android has come a very long way in the past decade.
