Hi guys! 23F from Venezuela.

Recently, I started a new job and my boss told me I need to improve my English skills, so I'm looking for a native English speaker who can help me improve. In exchange, I can help with your Spanish!

My time zone is GMT-4, so I would like the time difference not to be an obstacle. I prefer voice calls (through WhatsApp) over texts.

About me: I enjoy history, economics, music, and the performing arts. I'm looking for a serious and consistent language partner to practice and discuss different topics. If you're interested, don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you!🩷

Uuhmm

I'm going crazy with theories. But right now I think the trees are hiding something. The fact that it's a fallen tree, that it traps them, that every time Tabitha or Victor tried to cut down the bottle tree, the boy in white appeared to tell them no, that Victor noticed the trees changing position. The trees are hiding something.

Which Grogu is better?

Hey guys! My best friend is a huge Grogu fan, her birthday is coming up, and I want to get her a Grogu doll. Which one is better?

  1. This one seemed the cutest to me, and it's pretty soft, but the downside is that it doesn't have feet and can't stand up.

  2. It's not as soft as the first one, but it makes sounds and can use the force, which seems pretty realistic.

  3. I don't like its face as much, but it can be moved by remote control, hahahha.

As fellow Grogu fans, which would be the best option for her?

Episode 5 Notes: What have we discovered so far?

⚠️ SPOILER ALERT ⚠️

EPISODE 5

In this episode, we get many interconnected revelations, even though they come from different people:

MARIELLE

👉 Because Marielle has been in direct contact with Sofia twice, she is forced by the Man in Yellow to relive the nightmare of being chained in a dungeon.

👉 The most terrifying part of her visions isn't what she SEES, but what she HEARS: thousands of screams from souls trapped in FROMVILLE. When you die in this place, your soul remains trapped and tormented there.

👉 This means that the characters we see reappearing and talking to the living are **NOT** just "ghosts" or "hallucinations"—they are actually still there, trapped in an overlapping reality.

SOFIA

👉 When Sofia interacts with Marielle and Kristy, she continues to subtly PLANT IDEAS, always twisting biblical scenes. This time, she tells Marielle that she was "chosen by God" so that through her own suffering she can help those tormented souls. An idea Marielle rejects... for now.

👉 Then she overhears Randall and Julie's conversation. At this point, Sofia knows who Julie is, her ability to "travel through the chapters of history," and what she wants: to save her father. She feels satisfaction when Randall tries to discourage her.

👉 Since Sofia started interacting in the town, the first thing she did was try to point to Julie's family as the CAUSE of everything bad that has happened.

JADE

👉 He encounters "some" of his many past lives. Music has been the mystical bond connecting them all.

👉 He discovers that **EVERYONE** has always been murdered by their own community. For some reason, people start hating him and fearing him until they end up murdering him in every reincarnation. But there's a catch: TABITHA's reincarnations have had it MUCH WORSE.

👉 Jade discovers that, right in the middle of the ritual stones, there is a buried sarcophagus containing the remains of the *Anghkooey* children.

👉 Jade doesn't say it explicitly, but the key could be removing the children's remains from that buried sarcophagus. But how do you get there if all the monsters live in that cave?

TABITHA

👉 She remembers that she used to live in that settlement by the lake. She had rag dolls, and a man took them from her and threw them into a lake because he was terrified of them, seeing them as "monsters" in his nightmares.

👉 After the man died, his "nightmares" came to life. Similar to Sara's brother, who feared cicadas... after he died, the cicadas became just another way for the town to terrorize humans.

⚠️ Therefore, every monster 🫈 in the town is SOMEONE'S NIGHTMARE MADE REALITY after they die.

👉 But there is a COUNTERPART to this: if the force or energy of FROMVILLE turns NIGHTMARES into MONSTERS** 🫈, it can also turn FAITH into a 🗡️ against them:

✅ Tabitha remembers that the TOTEMS around the settlement can kill and ward off the monster dolls.

✅ The TALISMANS are just carved rocks 🛘, but FAITH in them gives the residents a sense of security and causes them to repel the monsters.

✅ Martin's cursed blood, which flowed through Boyd's body like worms, ends up killing Smiley.

✅ The Golem Fatima is making will either come to life, or its mere presence in the house will protect Fatima and the residents of Colony House from the monsters.

* ⚠️ Could this be the key to defeating the monsters of FROMVILLE and rescuing the children's remains from the cave?

* ⚠️ Sofia/The Man in Yellow's main objective since the beginning of the series has been to ATTACK THE MATTHEWS FAMILY:

* 📻 He communicates directly with Jim to play with his emotions and torment him.

* 💀 Once Jim gets too involved in solving the enigma of FROMVILLE, he murders him.

* 🏃🏻‍♀️ But it is Jim's death that triggers Julie's role as a **Storywalker**. Julie traveling through the pages of history alters events.

* 🙇‍♀️ Tabitha's memories explain how the entire curse of FROMVILLE originated, and they have already revealed a way to defeat the Monsters.

* 🧒🏻 Ethan, despite being a child, has a greater understanding and capacity to comprehend how everything works in FROMVILLE. That is why the voices Sara hears (which we now know were produced by the Man in Yellow) ask her to murder him.

* 👉 Therefore, based on how the actions of SOFIA / THE MAN IN YELLOW continue to progress, their purpose in this cycle is clearly focused on turning everyone in the town against TABITHA, JULIE, and ETHAN. Bit by bit, they will try to convince key characters to murder them BEFORE they discover how to break the curse of FROMVILLE... just as has happened in previous cycles.

THE ORIGIN STORY OF FROMVILLE: DEFINITIVE THEORY

⚠️ "POSSIBLE SPOILERS" ⚠️

The oldest cycle of FROM, the date that starts the entire history, is 1506 (the dates Tabitha sees in the lighthouse).

At that time, very few European ships arrived—barely any expeditions. The settlements of the first colonists wouldn't arrive until many years later.

In other words, there would only be INDIGENOUS PEOPLE on those lands. This matches the style of the cave paintings where the history of the place is narrated. According to those drawings, they arrived in Fromville in simple vessels, formed families, and began to inhabit those lands.

The Entity and the Chosen Ones

Perhaps the EVIL, the ENTITY, has inhabited this place since time immemorial—like a SPIDER patiently waiting for its prey to fall into its web. In the cave drawings, its mystical form is visible: it is enormous compared to the tiny little men drawn in front of it.

What is certain is that the ENTITY chooses two people from the community: a man and a woman. They are parents; they have a daughter (this is what TABITHA and JADE remember from their first life).

They begin to have dreams, to hear voices, and then the visions arrive.

But strange diseases, violent deaths, and nightmares that torment the people also arrive.

Just like SOFIA told MARIELLE: "God chose you, just as He chose His prophets through suffering."

Thus, these two people were "chosen" by the ENTITY to be its prophets, to convince the rest to pay tribute to it. In exchange, it would be a "god" that would protect them and offer them IMMORTALITY.

The Cursed Pact

But for that, a PACT had to be made—one that would demand the greatest of sacrifices.

By that point, the ENTITY's level of manipulation was complete. Through its "prophets," it would have shown signs, convincing them that if they sacrificed the children, they would prove their faith and ultimate devotion.

It is like when SOFIA cites the biblical sacrifice of Abraham, except this "false god" would not bring the children back to life, nor give immortality to their parents. On the contrary, it brought them ETERNAL DAMNATION.

Seeing themselves deceived, realizing they had sacrificed their children in vain, the town's inhabitants became enraged. They were consumed by a MADDENING RAGE directed against the two "prophets," who were tortured and murdered.

Afterwards, eaten away by guilt, they blamed one another for what had happened. Paranoia grew until they ended up killing each other.

That was how the ENTITY achieved its goal: not only had it fed on the rage, fear, and guilt of the inhabitants, but it also feasted on their bodies. And not satisfied with that, it enslaved their IMMORTAL SOULS so they would return to the same place and keep "feeding" it cycle after cycle.

The Curse of Remembering

However, there is a GREATER GUILT: that of the "Prophets," those who led everyone into that cursed pact.

They are the only ones who see the children.

They are the only ones who hear the word "Anghkooey," which in the indigenous language means "remember."

They are the only ones condemned to REMEMBER, and for this reason, in every cycle, they TRY TO SAVE THE CHILDREN. But this is in vain since they cannot achieve it; they cannot escape their PUNISHMENT.

For this reason, JADE is warned that no matter what he does, it will always end the same way:

"The inhabitants will murder you. And Tabitha's fate will be worse," his child version warns him.

SOFIA, who is the infiltrated ENTITY, knows it:

"Here comes my favorite part, where they kill each other."

Like the SPIDER watching the prey that has already fallen into its web—no matter how hard it struggles to escape, it will only get more entangled. Their fate is sealed: they will be its food.

The Web of Fromville

Every person who arrives in FROMVILLE is DOOMED to return there. They DO NOT understand why they are there; they DO NOT remember who they really are. Only two people have the punishment of REMEMBERING who they are to try to save the children.

Hence the phrase: "Knowledge comes at a cost." Because when EVERYONE remembers what happened, the MASSACRE will come.

And with each CYCLE that ends, something NEW of theirs is left behind in that place: buildings, objects, belongings, and their fears in the form of terrifying monsters... Their memories remain trapped in the WEB.

That is FROMVILLE: a giant Web full of trapped souls who cannot escape their damnation. THIS IS THE STORY OF THE CURSE OF FROMVILLE. That is why every cycle repeats exactly the same way: in the same place, with the same people, with the same ending...

EXCEPT IN THIS CYCLE:

There is a "variant." The ENTITY, the Man in Yellow, made a mistake: killing Jim. He was NOT supposed to die at that moment, in that way.

His death created the STORYWALKER, who has the ability to travel through the chapters of the book.

What if they can return TO THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING and save the children?

What if Julie can prevent them from being sacrificed?

That is the only way to save the children, to prevent Jim's death, to prevent EVERYONE'S death. That is the only way to free all those damned and trapped souls in FROMVILLE.

And in the end, EVERYTHING is summarized in a brief scene from the beginning:

"Norman didn't die, because monsters don't exist," TABITHA tells ETHAN, who was very sad because, in Julie's story, a monster had killed Norman, his puppet.

THE END.
