The best customer support i’ve ever experienced

I’ve owned a few HyperX products over the years, and one thing has consistently stood out: their customer support

A few days ago, I pulled my Cloud II out of storage after almost two years. I had left it in almost brand-new condition, but the rubber coating had completely broken down and turned sticky. I contacted HyperX, sent a few photos and documents, and they approved an RMA without any hassle

Since the Cloud II was out of stock, they upgraded me to a Cloud III for free. They even shipped it within one day after I mentioned I might be leaving the country in mid-July

This isn’t my first great experience with them either. Years ago, they replaced the microphone for my Cloud Revolver for free, and another time they replaced my Cloud II USB sound card for free as well.

I know some people prefer other brands or think HyperX products are overpriced, and that’s completely fair. But for me excellent customer support goes a long way, and HyperX has never let me down

XM5s coating peeling off

my XM5 started peeling in one specific spot

Usually when I take them off, I leave them around my neck and that area is where I spray perfume. Seems like the alcohol damages the soft-touch coating over time

So just a heads up: avoid getting perfume on your XM5s.

If you’re getting insane FPS drops/stutters in DCS even with a strong PC, this might save you some times

I was averaging ~150 FPS at 1440p max settings, but every 10 seconds it would tank to 5–10 FPS making it completely unplayable

After digging around, it turned out to be a CPU scheduling issue (especially on newer Intel CPUs with P-cores + E-cores)

Temporary fix:
Open Task Manager
Go to Details
Right-click DCS.exe > Set Affinity
Select only EVEN cores (0,2,4,6, etc.)
This completely removed the stuttering for me, but you have to redo it every launch

Permanent fix:
Go into BIOS > CPU Configuration:
Disable all Efficient (E) cores
Keep Performance (P) cores active

Since doing this, the stuttering is gone entirely. Smooth gameplay, no more random drops

Thought I’d share this in case it helps someone
