Something silly: One 5 year old spent a great deal of time drawing a very long chalk line around Rosa Parks Circle. Hundreds of dancers then used it as a parade walk line as part of the dance night during the live dance concert.

This Tuesday the 27th Funkle Jesse is coming to Rosa Parks Circle for a dance concert at 7pm - 930pm. Free dance Lessons are at 7pm. There is some line dancing, and more thrown in. They are a pretty amazing local cover band. Just FYI

On July 2, 1900, Grand Rapids woke up to disaster when the Belknap reservoir burst, unleashing millions of gallons of water down the hillside. Streets and homes were damaged, but thanks in part to an alert newsboy, the story became one of warning and survival as much as destruction.
