Govee, you wish you could do this

I really really wanted rgbic porch lights, but also run an x lights show for Christmas. The need for control is necessary. Someone makes wled screw in bulbs, but really wanted that absolute control of color and pattern.

But it's a $30 wall light from Amazon

120 to 5v 2amp power supply

btf lighting 8x32 led matrix

and an esp32.

The led matrix fits perfectly in the housing, just gotta bend the last row of 8 over backwards. I havent tried cutting the board.

The rise of independent Comfort advisors

I've noticed quite a few Facebook ads and other types of ads where it's a solo Comfort advisor giving out Comfort advice without having a company behind them. It seems like these guys are becoming an independent contractor and then just selling their bid off to whoever they partnered with.

One relatively local guy has a few companies listed in the fine print of his website that provide the services. And of course he's advertising different brands like trane, carrier etc.

Anyone else noticing this?

It's been running like this for nearly 4 years

Notice the heavy corrosion on the txv and gas line.

No evidence the venting was ever connected, but never complained about being cold.

Previous company "left it like that" yeah I doubt it, house was a shit hole.

Turned off the gas, shut off gas valve switch and un hooked power to multiple safeties and had them sign off and noped the fuck out.

Is this good?

Is it any good? Will it have trouble with driving across gravel to another part of my yard? My front and rear is separated by a gravel path and some slate stone.

Will it be able to cross a sidewalk and driveway to move the curb grass?

The pin striping adds an extra 1/2 ton of cooling

Honestly, things are pretty badass looking.

How ruud. Replaced a bad txv(yes it was the txv!), only to find a leak when we pressure tested.

7 years old, Not registered, not under warranty, new coil backordered. Ended up throwing a goodman r32 42k coil in and swapping the txv for a 410.

Txv on the initial visit was throwing 40 plus super heat, 12 subcool. Hot dunking the sensing bulb changed nothing. Adding charge did nothing.

Have you ever come across a new system with possible condensibles in the factory charge?

Just finished up two amana 15 seer system, both 3 ton alxs5ba36.

First one(first floor) is silent and running smooth, pressure tested to 350 and pulled a vacuum to 120.

Second one, same pressure test, held vacuum at 107 microns.

Flush and reused line sets( finished basement) both units located in basement, both outdoor units next to each other, both line sets nearly identical length.

Second system for first floor has liquid line flashing on a rhythm, small bubbling, then silence, then a long flashing period of 3-5 seconds.

Sub cool is 10 and super heat at 10. My gauges are digital so it's tough to see flutter, but the pressures were holding relatively steady at 266psi +/- 2 psi.

Can't for the life of figure it out. Nothing went wrong or different.

I feel like the factory charge had some contamination as we did not add any additional.

I'm going back in a week, but have a feeling I'm going to be pulling the charge and starting over.
