I have never bid for an upgrade before (don't even remember seeing an option for it). I have a trip coming up for which I am yet to book my tickets. Before I do that and explore my bidding options, I thought it best to get some clarity.

1. If I book an economy ticket (anything from their cheapest fare to their most expensive econ offering), will I be able to bid for both business and premium economy classes, or just premium economy?

2. If my bid is successful, can I get a refund of my add ons such as seat selection and bagagge fees?

3. Not really upgrade related, but I absolutely love the new centennial livery and would love to collect some merch (maybe amenity kit). Unfortunately, my route is not served by any of these aircrafts. I am, however, preparing myself to simply ask the crew if they have any merch that they can offer an enthusiast such as myself. Will it be easier to do this in econ, prem econ or business? I would appreciate any advice you have for me.

Is Deutsche Bank decent enough to deal with? Can I auto-pay my credit card and/or can I pay in advance? For example, my cards from outside Europe allow me to pay them off as soon as the charge is posted. Does DB allow the same?

Or should I avoid DB cos they are bad?

I know my question is dry and not really great but I don’t want to go through the hassle of cancelling my card. I would much rather gather as much info as I can beforehand. Thanks.

I want to move away from sneakers and sports shoes, and buy good everyday-use shoes. I don’t want to sell my kidney, but I also don’t want a “cheap” shoe.

Panama Jacks, Blundstones etc can be pricey. Idk if brands like Clark’s are considered “classy”. I want to look classy and not a “wannabe” like with US Polo Assn. for example.

I use a semi-formal Cole Haan that’s fairly nice but I want to try something that’s “nicer” and “classier”.

Idk much about brands, most of the above is just my opinion. I apologise if I misspoke about a company and hurt someone. Thanks!

I know they have their own website and shops at some airports in Germany, but is there any other way I can get some collectibles or merch? I will be flying them soon (few months I think), do they usually store some merch on international flights?

I am in the market for a case but the strength of the magnets is very important. Carved cases look good but I was unable to find much about the magnet strength online. Does anybody have any experience with them?
