As someone who has a list of grievances against Marie, I voted for Brent. It's not that I regret my vote but the way he threw a temper tantrum after the primary rather soured me. The progressive voter's guide was right on the money in this case.

He did very well in the primary and was building political power. He commanded a valuable chunk of the vote and he took it all and put it right into the dumpster by acting like a giant baby. This isn't about anyone's morals, it's pure emotional instability.

I feel bad for the people who donated, fought in the great reddit wars, and volunteered for him because it makes us all look like idiots. I never had high hopes of him actually winning but I did believe that his race would at least be a good way to send a message to Marie. I didn't feel like he was doing the work since his first campaign to build support.

Brent, I know you're out there trolling this sub, I'm disappointed not because you lost the primary but that I think you represented the people who cast their votes for you poorly. I wish you well in whatever you choose to do next.

I'll be voting for Marie. Maybe my morals are just flexible and I am pragmatic. I want the political power to make this administration pay for their crimes. Marie is a step closer in that direction even if I doubt she has the courage and fortitude to fulfill this desire. I hope she takes a close look at the primary results and sees it as a wake up call and an opportunity to correct the course.

I honestly don't know anything about the city manager and don't really have an opinion on if she should be fired or not. However, we deserve an explanation. They don't even respect us enough to give us some pretense. They are too lazy to give us a lie, establish a narrative.

This is what people who deem themselves to be autocrats do. They are above reproach. They have been chosen by God for their holy mission to enrich themselves. They are not public servants, they are to be served by the public.

We need to remind them who they really work for.

I want to walk through this with a conservative, would you be mad at the "liberal" take over of Battle Ground? Or did that already happen with the woke mind virus? Honestly I just want to take the culture wars, the religion, the national politics, out of it. I would be against any group doing this even if I agreed with their politics.

Does anyone think it's ok for a corporation, a family, to purchase and occupy several businesses in town, get your employees on the city council, school board, and appointed as mayor, and purchase the local paper to make sure they don't post any more stories exposing their actions? Is the corruption unclear for people?

Don't be blinded because they're dancing around a cross. They're creating a circus while they rob us. The culture war is an artifice, a mask for their desire of power.

Maddox Industries honors the culture of Battle Ground and in continuation of the acquisition of said culture, the Dancing Lady returns! Our loyal mayor has volunteered to replace the Dancing Lady during rush hour times on the corner of 503 and main.

I was really shaken about the worm cult in town so I went to Maddox to get to the bottom of things. I saw an advertisement of a new product that I think could be of use to us. What if we bought and programed our own city council people? I'm really thinking about picking up one of their newest models.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I want to shop around a bit before I land on a politician I want to purchase. Thanks so much!

I think I took the wrong elevator in Battle Ground city hall and ended up in some slimy wet place. I listened to these strange aliens speak, their incoherent slurping language formed some words in my mind...

The Eternal War of the Gods has left our world broken. Sundered by forces beyond our comprehension. A cycle that can only be remembered by song and the scars left on the landscape. We cling to the edge of a crumbling mountain and dance to the music of the roaring avalanche.
