F56 MINI SE replacement battery dreams

If you could replace the battery in your SE for a reasonable price what would you go for?

A - same weight, more range
B - same range, less weight
C - slightly more range, a bit less weight

I realise this is hypothetical, but we can dream.

Spotted in Berlin

Spotted this in Berlin. It flew across our path. I didn’t even know they could fly! Is this a native to these parts? Sorry for bad picture, it flew off again before I could take another.

Rule #1.69 BRG

Thought I’d spice things up by parking top to tail next to this BRG gas guzzler.

Switching Bazzite handheld to desktop (nvidia GPU)

I have an RTX 3060. I was a renegade and installed Handheld version of Bazzite. When it’s running it’s fine but it’s completely glitched out on me a few times. Requiring at least one hard reboot.

Will things be better for me if I install the nvidia desktop version and force it to open steam big picture on boot?

- if I do this, can I just backup …/Steam/steamapps/common so I don’t have to download and install everything again?

- should I backup any other folders to make the new install setup as seamless as can be?

Anything else I need to be concerned about?

Thanks for any guidance!

Oops - New Bazzite install

Just setup Bazzite. Everything went fine. Full install no windows partition. Starting directly in Steam. Was downloading my steam games and poking around in settings as I waited.

Toggled HDR off and then back on. This is when this happened. Impossible to shut down or restart gently. Did a hard shutdown in the hope it would sort itself out. It didn’t.

Have I corrupted it? Should I just install again? I just did it so no huge deal.

Machine is Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3060 12GB, 16 GB ram.

Edit: if you have an nvidia GPU probably a good idea not to play with the HDR toggle in settings. After a few reboots and booting into the bios, things sorted themselves out. I capped games at 1920x1080 @ 60fps and had no issues at all. Games were nippy and from my couch look great. This is a huge step up from my PS4 Pro so I’m happy. And so quiet :)

Ryzen 5 5600 & RTX 3060 12GB?

I just bought a second hand gaming pc.

I hate anything Microsoft with a passion so wish to install Bazzite - to run as a replacement for my PS4 Pro and Wii U.

Am I gonna be ok with a Ryzen 5 5600 and Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB, with 16GB ram?

Hoping to play Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 and RDR2 on my TV. Hopefully will be able to emulate Wii U SMK8 & BOTW. Both of which I own by the way.

If it can run as well as my PS4 without the roaring jet engine sound I’ll be happy.

Digital pool testers?

Is it worth getting a digital pool tester? I’m colourblind so testing strips require me to ask one of the kids to read after I’ve tested. I’m wanting to measure FC, pH, TA - CYA is a nice bonus. Are they any good and if so what do you guys recommend?

Strap for a G-7800

I bought this 7800B-1 for a good price due to it not having the original strap. Watch unit is fine aside a few skuffs, which I don’t mind. No doubt I’ll be adding a few more!

I don’t trust the current strap with its plastic snapped buckle and dodgy spring bars.

I tried swapping out for the rubber strap on a 5600 to see if it fits - it doesn’t, despite it being 16mm. Given they’re not making 7800 anymore I’m not sure what strap to get for a replacement.

Shockbase pointed me to the Casio CAS-10309325 which is out of stock everywhere. Ideally any replacement would be from Casio. Any clues on what will fit?
