I won a C8L 65" TV - Thank you TCL!
I plan to sit back for the next week and really play about and test it so I can put together a decent review, but from initial impressions, I'm actually blown away by the picture quality and the glare resistance, i was having problems with the C6KS during the day, with the reflections from the various windows, but the C8L has completely eliminated that issue.

Tayberry twins...
I've got, what I'm fairly certain is a Tayberry plant in the garden which fruits yearly, but on this occasion, i'd say about 70% of the fruits are like conjoined. What's going on?
C6KS Review
So, I’ve spent the last month with the C6KS. Why the C6KS instead of the C6K? The simple reason is price. For a 50-inch TV, it was at a very attractive price point, and when comparing it to other models on the market that didn’t feature full-array Mini LED, it felt like a no-brainer.
It took me weeks of research, but I finally decided this was the right model for me, especially as I plan to upgrade to a more premium TV in the future. I’ll still be keeping this one for the bedroom, though.
This has definitely improved my day-to-day viewing experience. My previous TV was edge-lit, which I’ve recently realised was one of the main reasons I disliked a lot of modern TVs.
So, this is my man cave, and this is where the TV currently resides.
At first, I thought the picture quality was decent, but after a few tweaks, it went from being good for the price to actually being pretty damn good, if you ask me.
The only real issue I have is with motion handling. I more or less expected this going into the purchase, and frame insertion can look a bit strange at times. I’ve turned off all motion settings, which I’d definitely recommend, as it seems to eliminate most of the issues.
From what I found during my research, the C6KS has the same number of dimming zones and similar brightness levels as the C6K, but it lacks the 144Hz refresh rate and the more powerful processing.
I game on a PS5, but I don’t really play many games that take advantage of 120Hz. That said, my next upgrade will probably include that feature.
Overall, I’ve been really impressed with the build quality and performance. It does the job perfectly for now, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a good TV without spending a fortune.
