I am 30 year old male and have been underweight all my life at 5’11 AMA

I have been skinny underweight all my life and many people think being skinny is good , well no it is miserable. It sure probably has some advantages but I have been resentful all my life towards people and myself

So if you you are interested in weight issues ask me anything about it

“Give our son a chance at being tall”

That is her bio and she’s 5’0 and she’s a standout profile.

Imagine a man putting on his bio “give our daughter a chance at having big breasts”

It is ridiculous.

I am 5’10 I am sure that wouldn’t even be tall enough for her.

And seems like someone doesn’t know how genes work.

Got stood up for the first time

And with the lamest excuse.

Talked to this girl for maybe 5/6 days

Oh she initiated btw.

I propose to go out, she says yes. Got the reservation done. She doesn’t show up then later texts saying she got an emergency and couldn’t make it.

I say in my mind “I’ll give the benefit of the doubt” and text her that fine we can leave it for another day and hope everything is good with the emergency.

No respond and then I am unmatched 😂

She took it this far, funny is she expressed to be very interested through text. Like sometimes you can feel the vibe if someone is interested or not through the way they text.

It was a nice place that I reserved, not fancy obviously. I don’t do very fancy at the first date. but it was a fun cool place, then later we were going somewhere since she liked books and movies. Like I had it all planned.

Obviously I don’t want to put all people in one bag but Then later people say men don’t put effort. Well this is why

Next time I just want to stick with a coffee date or a walk at the park 😂😞

The access to way too many people and way too many options make dating apps not work.

I mean they work, for the owners. but they don't form long relationships most of the time.

We are at the age of Internet, social media. Access to a lot of people across the world. Before people only had access to people at school, work and that was it. Now we can meet people under rocks. So this has made people disposable. People will start talking to someone ohh someone better looking just appeared on my screen, I'll move to this one instead.

They know they can find someone easily in just one click ok bye next one. It's like ordering fast food, you get In line , order , taste the food "oh this tastes good but maybe I can get something better" ok I'll get in line again and get something else.

In my experience,

I have been on the apps for a couple years and a few dates and the people I went out with didn't want to meet again and I tell them I am looking for long term serious relationship. That's fine.

Yet, I always see the same people. And these are very attractive people. It makes you wonder why these people can't find a partner for a long term relationship for all these years if they are so attractive.

Before men had to take the courage to go and talk to a lady in person. You know how much courage that it takes. Now it just takes a private message. One out of many messages.

Is it that people stopped wanting long serious relationships or too many options makes us indecisive on who to be with.

Question for women. Are guys on the apps flaky as well?

As a straight man I don't know what is the experience for you girls. But I do get a decent amount of matches but actually trying to get a woman on a date is very difficult. Everything goes well until you propose a plan to go out, then they immediately disappear. That or they cancel.

So I was curious and wondering,Are guys the same ?

And also , most of you get a ton of matches and likes. What can a guy do to get your attention and choose him out of all the matches that you get ?

Thanks

Did you ever go out with someone who sent short replies? Uninterested or just shy?

I matched with this girl. She was exactly my type. She would respond but short replies and no more than 5 words or so if I can remember. Ugh such a turn off. Like she wouldn't ask anything back, I tried to be patient, I thought well maybe she's shy, but wasn't getting better. And it wasn't a long conversation as the match was only 3 days and she didn't reply that often during the course of the day. And I just couldn't find a chance to ask her out as there wasn't an actual connection otherwise it would have been awkward to just randomly ask so I had to urgently unmatch lol

But yeah , based on your experience, are these people just not interested or shy?

Sure, i heard the “depends on the person” but generally speaking.

Is being skinny really that unattractive? Sometimes I think it is the equivalent of being overweight. At least in my experience, Genetically I am very skinny and despite having a decent facial appearance women never show any interest and when I do it never goes well. I have been rejected for being too skinny before. Last girl I asked out told me I was too skinny. I am 5’10 barely 130 lbs.

I have been going to the gym, but I do like running so that doesn’t really help my problem 😓

Would love to hear what you think and any advice would help

I don’t like when people who want to sell you stuff give you compliments. Like , as a man I am never given compliments and pretty much invisible ohh but when I go to a mall and there’s one of these people they greet me and tell me I have a nice shirt (it’s always the shirt) like it’s a ln ordinary shirt can you at least try a little harder(?

Then funny how this is the only time when women will throw a compliment at me 🤦 Then interesting how people approach to talk to you only when it’s to their interest

Sorry , it’s a little frustrating wanting to make real connections and being ignored when you do a genuine approach

Obviously not everyone does this but a lot rely on this strategy
