Irvine welcomes AI surveillance

I was a bit taken back that, as a resident of Irvine, we weren't told directly that the cameras were being installed and where. I pulled up deflock.org and found a good amount gradually being installed in my neighborhood. Curious and a little on edge looking into the future of ai.

Navient loan removed brought credit down?

I disputed the navient student loan on my credit recently because there was a lawsuit with my college and that loan shouldn't even be there. Why does that bring my credit down 29 points on Transunion and yet 14 points on Equifax? Seems excessive for an account that was fraudulent. I thought I was doing my credit a service my removing that loan. Any assistance on this would be appreciated.

Little bit of constructive criticism for us addicts

I've been reading a lot of posts about picking up alcohol or cigarettes in lieu of smoking weed. Please don't pick up another addiction, especially one that's actually worse for your mental health. Your mind needs to recover too and it can't do that if you're still loading it up with chemicals. Also you're 10x more likely to pick up again if you're getting drunk. Do yourself and your recovery a favor and stop all drugs especially alcohol. Your mind and body will thank you in the long run. Just tough it out for at least 45 days so you can kick the habit and 6 months so your brain can start producing dopamine the normal way. Sorry for the rant! 35 days clean today!

Quitting weed and constipation

So I'm on day 25 and I was regular but now I've been constipated for a couple days. I blame it on the Denny's milkshake and fries I had with friends at 930pm Wednesday night but I vaguely remember there being a discussion about how quitting can cause this. Has anyone had this experience? Sorry is this is TMI.

3 weeks weed free!

I'd like to use this post as a way to give the person who is questioning whether or not weed is an issue for them. If your answer "yes" to any of these 12 questions, you may be a marijuana addict.

  1. Has using marijuana stopped being fun?

  2. Do you ever get high alone?

  3. Is it hard for you to imagine a life without marijuana?

  4. Do you find that your friends are determined by your marijuana use?

  5. Do you smoke to avoid dealing with your problems or to cope with your feelings?

  6. Has your marijuana use led to financial difficulties and/or legal consequences?

  7. Does your marijuana use let you live in a privately defined world?

  8. Have you ever failed to keep your promises you made about cutting back or controlling your marijuana use?

  9. Has your marijuana use caused problems with health, memory, concentration or motivation?

  10. When your stash is nearly empty, do you feel anxious or worried about how to get more?

  11. Do you plan your life around your marijuana use?

  12. Have your friends or relatives ever complained that your marijuana use is damaging your relationship with them?

I know that I had trouble believing I was an addict in the beginning because weed is so readily available and the stigma was "it's just weed." It's definitely 6x more potent than it was back in the 60s and 70s. It can also cause permanent psychosis. I hope anyone reading this gets through today, clean. We're all in this together.

Two weeks in!

My dreams are pretty vivid but I keep having relapse dreams and I wake up feeling like I relapsed. When do these subside and are they this frequent for anyone else? I've had two in 3 days.

Made it to double digits! Day 10.

I've been smoking constantly for 20 years. This is the first time, in my adult life (I'm 45), that I have been clean for this long. I'm super proud of myself. I joined a few anonymous meetings and the people there are so supportive. Without that and this forum I don't think I'd make it. So thank you all for the support. It truly means a lot and makes me want to keep going. Would love to hear how great your life became after you got your mind back for motivation. Also, this month is men's mental health awareness. 75% of suicides are male so don't hold your struggles in and please talk to someone you trust if you are. This drug severely depresses and makes you anxious despite what was said previously.

Day 1

Finally ran out and I said I would when I did so here I am. I'm broke until next paycheck so there's no chance of me buying more either. Just posting here to hold myself accountable and maybe get some encouragement. Been a heavy bong user since 2005.

The curious hummingbird.

Caught this hummingbird going from the hummingbird buddy to the regular bird buddy, and checking out the food there, then going back to drink more. (Sorry for the little shell that the mourning dove flung at the camera.)

Took over a month but finally found the perfect setup. Here's a day with each clip being a separate visit.

Two flowers that are blocked on the outside with no cover on the center. Makes for easy drinking and centers the hummingbird to increase chances of recording them. Settings are; Frenzy mode, wide angle video, 2k quality (pro version).

The way the colors change as he turns his head.

Hummingbird was really enjoying the nectar. As he turns his head his red neck turns green. 💚 ♥️

Thirsty little lady tonight.

An Anna's hummingbird stopped by for an exceptionally long time and I think I caught her chirp. Beautiful!
