Corporate don’t care

I mean obviously, I knew this. But we just got told we couldn’t have a couch in the break room. Like seriously, what the fuck?

Putting the cart before the horse

My wife and I have been planning on buying our first home together (I owned a home for 10 years, sold it about 6 years ago when we moved to a different state). We have been casually browsing listing for the last year, knowing that we have to pay off my truck and pay down some credit card debt before we can get approved for the amount we’d need.

We are on track to pay off the last 3k on our truck the pay down 9k in cc debt by the end of the year.

A listing popped up a few weeks ago on the perfect property; we haven’t seen anything close to it since we started watching listings and prices. Knowing that we’re 5 months out (possibly 2-3 if we really stretch some things), do we cross our fingers and hope that it’ll still be on the market? Would a buyer even consider a contingency offer and earnest money in a situation like this (if it’s even something you can do)?

TIA

How dirty is too dirty?

Do I need to clean the dirt settling to the bottom of the water? How often do I need to completely clean the waterer?

The waterer pictured here was completely clean when I set it out for the ducks 6 or so hours ago. It’s been raining, so the outside of the waterer has gotten dirty much quicker than usual. I feel like if it was necessary to keep the water itself crystal clear, I’d be changing it out every 30 minutes.

Sons of the confederacy highlighted in July 4th parade post

I find it way more than mildly irritating that they were allowed to participate at all, but it irks me that my local government just photo dumped every picture the PIO took instead of thinking “hmm…maybe we shouldn’t include this one”

A unicorn walked into my store today

After dealing with obnoxious customers most of the afternoon, a man came in to return multiple wooden posts and gates, and exchange them for different sizes. I met him by the gate with the forklift in the rain. He stopped me as I hopped down to start unloading his truck. “No no you do this all day. I need the exercise.”
He refused to let me help as he unloaded everything onto the forks and as I went to drop it where it belonged, he was already loading his new stuff into the truck. The only finger I lifted was the one working the forklift controls.
I will now die for this man.

Beware the new Field & Stream pants

If you’ve got a bit extra around the middle, and you cinch your belt just a bit too tight, you’ll get a sweet Tractor Supply tramp stamp.

Thought I’d found a silver quarter at the laundromat

Spent 5 minutes fishing it out of the coin return slot thinking I’d at least paid for one load of laundry…. Nope😭

So technically this is an IMWTAH - because this was my wife, not me, but we are both absolutely gobsmacked at the fallout from this.

TLDR; my wife is being accused of being a trollop ONLY because she texted a male friend at 2130.

For some context, my wife has had several male friends for the last 20 years (we’ve been married for 8). I’ve met them, their spouses/partners, never felt threatened or jealous or anything like that.

Since moving out of the area, my wife has fallen out of contact with a few of them. So last week, she decided she was going to text one of them. The text was essentially “hey! I haven’t talked to you in a while, hope you all are doing great”

The next day, we were out shopping and my wife gets a phone call from old friend. But it’s his wife absolutely losing her mind talking about my wife is breaking up a happy home, destroying a family, all this nonsense. My wife was like “I’m out with my husband, I’m not going to entertain this” hung up, we rolled our eyes and moved on.

Now this friends wife has made a lengthy public social media post essentially calling my wife a cheater, that my wife’s family and my family have seen.

It’s wild to me that she thinks my wife is teleporting 200+ miles to have an affair based on what my wife and I think was a completely innocent text message, mostly because it was late at night (that was mentioned several times in the social media rant).

So is my wife the AH??
