UPDATE: mostly cleared as of 11.45am on 15/08
A tree is down, blocking the right of way between Oxford Golf Course (the one near Cowley Road) and Lye Valley on the Lye Valley edge of the golf course. There was a tradesman on site attempting to clear it around 9.15am on Saturday morning.
There is an alternative route but it's a bit nettle-y and you need to be wearing proper shoes (sandals detinitely won't be enough).
We've been with YouFibre for full fibre broadband for nearly 2 years now and the service and quality of connection has been great - compared to previous provider (Virgin Media) it's like night and day. Their pricing is also quite competitive.
The 200Mb package has been perfect so far for a small household - e.g. HD/4K streaming, Teams/ Zoom calls, etc. In the entire time we've had it, there's only been one very brief (c.15 mins) hiccup in service.
Non-referral link: https://www.youfibre.com/
If you use my referral code KZFZ7R then we can both earn cashback - between £25 and £100 each depending on the package you choose.
Steps required:
Go to www.youfibre.com.
Place your broadband order with YouFibre online or via telephone on 0333 443 9694 using my code KZFZ7R.
Once your service is live and you've paid your first bill, the reward payment will be made.
NB YouFibre may carry out a credit check when you take out broadband with them, as is standard for many UK broadband providers.
It can also take up to 60 days for the reward to be processed, so please be patient!
At the time of writing, the following rewards are available:
200Mb package - £25 cashback each
1000Mb package - £50 cashback each
2000Mb package - £50 cashback each
8000Mb package - £100 cashback each
These rewards are only available for 12-month contracts, not monthly rolling contracts, and are not available with orders placed via the YouFibre door-to-door sales team.
Any questions, feel free to comment!
I (30M) was diagnosed 2 years ago via RTC with Dr J & Colleagues.
Started 50mg Elvanse at the time and felt it was helping. I was in a shitty job that was shitty for neurodivergence, so I actually found that the Elvanse helped me.
However, when I moved to a better job, I realised that I was on too high a dosage of Elvanse, but 30mg was too little while still not making me feel great.
Tried methylphenidate but had the same experience - 20mg was too little but 30mg was too much.
Tried atomoxetine and the waiting period for it to kick in was horrible. I tapered off caffeine before starting it but obviously couldn’t have any caffeine during titration. I lasted a week and that week was such a struggle to get anything done, I felt so lethargic etc etc.
Tried dexamfetamine most recently but even 5mg in the morning and 2.5mg after lunch has been too much. 😭
Stimulants mostly just make me feel absolutely wired all day and then I feel crushingly exhausted in the evening, like my body has been on high alert all day.
My next meds appointment is on Thursday and I don’t know what to tell them. I hate being unmedicated but the meds just make me feel worse overall.
Anyone been in the same situation?
For context, I’m very tall with long legs (36” inside leg).
A few months ago I was on a BA short haul flight in economy. When I was boarding, the cabin crew member at the front said that he hoped I was in an emergency exit row and I said I wasn’t. There was a little hold up in the boarding queue so he then mentioned that there was a way for passengers over a certain height to be able to register with BA for priority seat reservations for free.
I contacted BA via Twitter recently and they denied the existence of such a group. I also can’t find anything on Google about it.
Any BA insiders/fellow tall people want to enlighten me? How do I access the secret tall people club?
I’m a BA Blue member fwiw so no early seat reservation privileges via status for me sadly.
TIA!
