It features milled, rounded, and comfortable dark stonewashed titanium handles with a 20CV drop point flipper blade riding on bearings. The blade is stonewashed and polished to a near mirror. Also features the Hoback Rolling Detent, which, in addition to rolling, is height adjustable. Fourth owner, carried and cut with, disassembled to clean and oil by previous owner, no blade play, perfectly centered. Includes a generic pouch. Would you pay the asking price for this exotic REX 121 steel Sprint Smock and actually EDC /carry/use it?

With the bonus of the steel being hard to sharpen and known to chip easily, why would this be anything other than a collectible piece?

Maybe my standards are low, but I’m happy with a S30V user I bought off knife swap for $125 with added $35 titanium scales.

Where do you stand on owning the exotic steels like REX 121?

SOLD 🔪 SV: $350 (was $375) - Medford Slim Midi Tanto Faced Acid Etch Violet/Bronze Titanium, right-handed model. Tanto flat grind S45VN steel blade and frame lock titanium scales. The faced acid etched scale coloration seems to favor bronze over the violet depending on lighting and surface oils, but is dynamic dependent on lighting. The flat ground blade has a mirror finish that is not easy to photograph without reflections.

• Knife has been lightly used - carried and cut, never sharpened, has factory edge.
• The blade and scales have a few hairline scratches from carry/use, no hard use.
• Has a few marks from cutting on the blade edges (tip and main edge) that should easily sharpen out.
• The Tanto tip of the blade on the clip side has a couple of ‘waves’ or 'ripples' in the steel from the factory (that apparently passed QA) and do not impact functionality (tried to capture in one photo). If the blade had the hollow hand grind the waves would not be visible.

SPF SV: $250 - Socom Alpha T/E Carbon Fiber / M390 - Partial Serrated - Fixed Blade *Factory Second* (Microtech 114-2 DLCCFS). The Grenade on blade indicates a Factory Second. Third owner. No Cut, Carry, or Sharpen. It is likely a factory second due to a few marks in the DLC on the show side of the blade that may or may not also be from the kydex sheath. This topic has been discussed in this sub several times but I wanted to report on a J2H/ Insingo issue that I am not seeing IRL.

- Large Sebenza 31 Plain with Insingo blade.

- Jekyll to Hyde (J2H) Ti Large Sebenza Backspacer.

The note on the J2H website for the backspacer:

“May not fit your Insingo blade. Use at your own risk. Recommended for drop point and tanto”.

Of course I had to try it out and am not seeing an issue. The J2H is stock and not modded. How much clearance is acceptable?

Zero up/down blade play present. I am not seeing any circumstance where the blade ever gets close enough to the backspacer to make contact.

Any others with experience with issues with this configuration?
