Want to remove and upgrade scs

I have Boston scientific and the programming and reps are horrible. I’m afraid they’re causing more damage as they don’t know the safe ranges for programming.

Has anyone changed their SCS? I’ve received several brochures for others and want to make the best decision. Thanks for any input and advice! Keep staying strong everyone! Hugs 🫂

Cal Cobra Blue Cross

I can extend my health insurance federal cobra to calcobra, but no one from blue cross knows how to do it. I’ve called everyone: former employer, current cobra vendor, California state, and they all say Anthem is the one to do it. Does anyone know at all how I can sort this out? My cobra ends July 31, 2026. I go to dr appts everyday and cannot have a gap in coverage.
Please help!!!!! Please! 🙏🏼

My boy is 17 today 🥹🙏🏼💗

So thankful he’s still with me. I have a 2year now, new debilitating chronic illness, and I can’t imagine life without him ever. Thank you for staying with me through my toughest times now and in the future. 🙏🏼💗🙏🏼💗

Central Pain Syndrome?

Has anyone been diagnosed from CRPS to Central Pain Syndrome? It’s not localized to one particular area but severe debilitating pain all over?? I’ve never heard of this until I saw my dr today and he thinks we need to focus on this issue now.

Alendronate

Has anyone taken Alendronate (Fosamax) for CRPS? Any bad side effects from experience? I have seen that it has helped—but I’m worried about side effects.

I am a mental health therapist and appalled at something I learned last week

As the title states, I am a MH therapist--for many years. I also live with chronic pain. Like many of you, I have been gaslit, and told to see a therapist. Sorry--but therapists really are not equipped to deal with the reality of chronic pain. So, last week, I took a training on "the psychology of chronic pain." And OMFG--it angered me. Here are some of the gems that therapists are learning: "pain is not solely a result of physical injury, but rather a complex experience, influenced by cognitive and emotional factors."

Yeah, that's right--it's all in our heads.

Pain is not an accurate indicator of tissue damage, but rather your brain’s best guess based on the information available--again--all in your f*ck*ng head.

Pain is never purely physical-again--you are imagining this.

"Pain is located in your head, in your brain!  When you have pain, your brain is actively processing it. " No sh*t, Sherlock.

"CBT is recommended" for how we process pain, as is acceptance commitment therapy, as is mindfulness, and visualizing moving.

So your thoughts about pain are distorted, you need to breath more, and visualize getting off your a$$. I promise you--as a therapist I will never gaslight a patient like this. CBT is the biggest thing used to gaslight patients. It is a perfect modality for acute anxiety, phobias. But chronic stuff? Umm. nope.

Boston Scientific, implant 2025. A magnet 🧲 touched my battery 🔋 by accident and then my combo programs have been giving me shocks around the battery, and on a different program, stabbing feelings in my chest.

I’m out of town so I can’t see my rep. I have it on a different program rn—but I prefer the others. Has this happened to anyone???? What can I do??? 😬
