What is the best IDE for Swift and Swift UI besides Xcode?

I’m having a horrible time with Xcode. The user interface is not friendly at all in terms of accessibility. For starters, the tooltips are so bloody small on my 16 inch MacBook that it is hard to read.. Same with the side help menu as well.

Are there any other IDEs which can be used? It’s a shame because the Swift language is good, but Xcode is shit.

I know there is visual studio code, but instead of running the application via Swift build or Swift run from terminal I kind of want to use the user interface, such as a run button or something. I don’t think that’s possible in Visual Studio Code?

I provide a lot of feedback on Xcode 27 beta regarding the tooltip size, but Apple does not reply or do anything about it. It kind of makes people wonder how they are using Xcode in their workplace.

Cannot sign in to Claude "Chat" in XCode

Hi,

I've installed the Claude Agent in XCode 27 beta 1 and I'm logged in for that. However, when I try to Sign In to Claude for the purpose of chatting and click on authorize, the sign in never happens.

Anyone else faced this error and figured out any workarounds? Thanks

microsaas built using WebAssembly?

Hey all,

I’m looking into developing a microsaas using wasm (specially using Leptos the Rust web framework).

Has anyone ever done this before instead of going the traditional route using JavaScript frameworks? (My JavaScript sucks).

Would love to see some examples and how the performance was with wasm vs js frameworks.

Thanks!

How to properly add Gemini 3 pro to Xcode?

Hi there,

I have the Google AI Pro subscription and have access to the gemini 3 pro model. Just wondering how I can properly integrate it into Xcode 26.5 like Claude?

I know I have to use "Add a Model Provider" but the API URLs floating around do not work, and I already have an API key generated from google ai studio.

All help appreciated! Thanks

Hi guys,

Settled on a new property in Melbourne with smoke alarm checks etc all done before settlement. It’s rented out now. It’s brand new and settled 3 months back.

I have the follow property management fees I just want to get an idea if it’s overly expensive or in the ballpark?

Detector inspector compliance checks: $472
Management fee: $129
Leasing fee: $742
Advertising internet and board: $290
Admin fee: $16.50

The management fee is non negotiable so I’m not worried about that of course. And advertising and admin is fine.
Just wondering about the leasing fee and the compliance check one.

Thanks!

How to remove ink from plastic?

Hi guys,

I had a AC technician come over to my parent’s place for them to fix a few things and this technician who was explaining something to my dad wrote a D using his pen on the air temperature sensor.

How on earth can I get rid of this mark? I just noticed it and my dad did not bother mentioning anything.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

A little about me. I have around 9 years relevant experience in IT. I work as an IT Business Analyst and have worked previously as a BI Engineer and Data Analyst. My formal education background is in Electronics Engineering.

I want to get into the machine learning space and on a program that has CSP.

Has anyone taken this Master of Science in Health Data Science program?

It would help with data analyst/scientist roles in the medical industry however curious on people’s thoughts on its usefulness in data science roles outside of health as well?

Also how would you compare it to the normal “Data Science” university programs? (I know it would be different based on the country and uni - I'm in australia btw).

I got the following from someone else's post here however it is relevant for me as well:

  1. Day-to-day work: How much of your work is data cleaning/SQL vs statistical modeling vs ML?
  2. Skill leverage: Which skills matter most in practice:- statistics, ML, SQL, or healthcare domain knowledge?
  3. Modeling depth: How often are advanced ML models used compared to classical statistical approaches, and why?
  4. Career growth: Where do you see the demand for healthcare Data Scientists / ML Engineers be?
  5. Salary trajectory: How does long-term salary growth in healthcare data science compare with more generic data science roles?
  6. Job market reality: Do you feel the field is getting saturated, or is demand still strong for well-skilled profiles?
  7. Transferability: How easy or difficult is it to pivot from healthcare data science into other data science roles later in one’s career?
  8. AI Safe: How much safer do you say are Data Science / ML roles vs other traditional IT such as developers, Business Analysts etc.
  9. Tooling: Do you use mostly R or Python? What would you say is the ratio of these two vs SQL in Data Science roles?

This is the program I'm interested in:
