Why Do People Keep Having Kids in This Day and Age?

I'm 13m and it shocks me when I realize how many people continue having children.

I'm going to use an example that I can relate to: one of my mom's friends who we'll call "Z".

So Z and her husband had a kid a few months ago (their second) and it geniuenly annoyed me. My mom says that it's "their dream" and "something that they've been wanting for a while) and I'm like, what? Something that's a dream is accomplishing a goal: getting a job, visiting a place. Heck, even finishing a book! However, bringing a person into the world is not something you do for YOURSELF. You're bringing someone who will have to work, face sadness and million other negative things just because you wanted another child?

I live in Madrid, Spain and it makes even less sense. The economic state of the city has been declining since the COVID-19 pandemic and it doesn't seem like it'll get any better for now.

Therefore, it overall seemed like a very stupid decision. Especially because Z nor her husband can care for their newborn since they don't have time. And they're gonna put him in daycare BEFORE HE EVEN WAS OLD ENOUGH TO GET THE MMR OR THE CHICKENPOX VACCINE!!???

I'm overall very dissapointed and upset at both of them and I'm currently avoiding talking to them because I think their decision was very immature.

Is It Bad That I'm Not Completely Extincionist?

Hi! I'm a 13 yo male and I've been antinatalist and pro-choice since I was little!

I wanted to explain this weird opinion that I have: I'm not completely extincionist.

If I could choose the human population, I'd select a number between 100k to 1 million people and keep them all living in a single metrolopic city instead of complete extincionism.

I think that would allow us to still have a culture, be able to use 100% renewable/nuclear energy and have every thing that can be found in a city and need to live.

I know my opinion might be controversial and it's far different from common antinatalism, but I still felt like sharing it.

JacknJellify Escaping Social Media After Implementing the "Vote Worst" System:

I don't mind the voting system since this show isn't really serious and not something like an election but you have to admit the voting system itself is horrible. It basically made it so an unpopular character won. This would make it so the rejoiner wouldn't make it really far and disturb the "rejoiners can't win" system.

Anyway, I just wanted to post a meme.
