Less well-known recommendations!

Hey everyone!

I've been a big lurker here for a few months as last year I somehow became obsessed with 19th Century Russian Lit. I have devoured everything I can from what I usually call the "BIG 6" of: Pushkin, Gogol, Turgenev, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy and Chekhov.

I'm wondering if you all could recommend your favorite works from Russian authors that are not on this list!? And I'd prefer to stick to pre-1917 revolution, if possible. Thanks everyone, I'm really looking forward to hearing some recs!!

Hey! Can I just like… superglue this thing back on?? 2022 Subaru Forrester

This rubber strip keeps popping off as I’m driving around. I know we can take it into Subaru to get fixed, but is there a cheap way we can reattach it at home?? Thank you all!

Taras Bulba!

Hey everyone!

I am a huge fan of Gogol, I think I've read almost everything he wrote that has been translated into English... except for Taras Bulba! I'm going to give it a go next, and I'm just wondering if anyone had any non-spoilery thoughts. I've heard it's quite unlike his other works, so I'm both excited and a little nervous. Thanks everyone!!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm looking for the best (I know "best is subjective, but I'm looking for opinions!) translations of Pushkin's poetry, or novels in verse.

I know it's impossible to not lose something important in the translation of poetry, but I've been reading a lot of 19th century Russian Lit the last few months and there are SOOO many references to Pushkin's poetry throughout that I'm dying to read some. I've read most of his prose that's been translated into English and have loved it, so I think I'm ready to try Eugene Onegin and some of the other big ones. Any recs would be really appreciated, thank you!!
