Prolapse got worse after starting PT?

Well, I think it did anyways. I can’t tell if something else I did around that same time as starting pelvic floor PT actually made it worse. At 3 weeks postpartum I was diagnosed with stage 1 bladder prolapse. Around 4 weeks postpartum I started having really bad SI joint pain where I was limping very badly and could barely walk. It happened after I lifted up my toddler too quickly. I started song some gentle exercises my friend who is also a PT (just not pelvic) gave me to help with my SI joint pain and in about 2 weeks it improved. But once I was cleared for exercise at my 6 week check up, I started Pelvic floor PT and started doing a lot of kegals (although I I was doing kegals every now and then on my own prior to seeing a PT). But then one day we were out and about with my toddler and I was wearing my newborn in a carrier (only about 8 lbs at the time) and I started feeling pain in my public bone (I think?) and had to take the carrier off because the pressure hurt way too much. I laid low for the next few days but I was still going on a gentle walk with my dog and my daughter in the stroller. Around that time (I think 8 weeks postpartum, my prolapse got reallllyyy low. Like the bulge is so big now and even touches my legs when it’s really flared up. It goes back in when I sit or lay down but immediately drops out when I stand no later how hard I try to breathe and have good posture. I definitely don’t think it’s stage 1 anymore. It looks more like at least a 3 but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a 4. I can pee most of the time but every now and then I have a strong urge to pee but when I do it’s hard to start the stream and only a little trickles out and it hurts.

I’m absolutely miserable. I do have an appt to get fitted for a pessary but I am nervous it’s not gonna help. I can barely walk around the house, hold my newborn, and definitely can’t hold my toddler. Just basic daily movements are hard. I’m so discouraged. My PT said I was so kegals incorrectly - I was lifting but not squeezing first; I need to close and pull up. I told her my symptoms have not improved and she said I just need to keep doing kegals.

But I’m questioning whether the kegals were making it worse. Or maybe it was something else. Like the diastis recti exercises I was also doing (I have a 3 finger separation). Or maybe just some of the other things I was doing before it got really bad.

Any thoughts? I really need support and encouragement!

Other things to note: I’m currently 12 weeks postpartum and breastfeeding but planning on weaning soon because I’m going that will help improve my prolapse? I feel extremely guilty that I’m weaning because of this but mentally and physically I cannot handle it on top of trying to get my prolapse under control. It’s consuming my life.

Guilty about putting baby in swing

I’m on round 2 with triple feeding. First daughter wasn’t latching well, hurt my supply, triple fed for about 4 months until I went back to work and never increased my supply. I was unsuccessful at EBF.

Second baby has tongue and lip tie and recently got it released but haven’t seen any improvement at all (it’s been about a week). Been triple feeding for 2 weeks even though I told myself the first time I would never do it again. But here I am stuck in this triple feeding trap. Miserable, can’t spend time with my older daughter, and as soon as I’m done attempting to breastfeed my 1 month old, I can’t snuggle with her or let her sleep on me, I have to put her in the swing so I can pump.

I felt so guilty about my first daughter in the swing all the time and told myself I wouldn’t do it again but as I’m typing this my second baby is in the swing while I pump. My husband is out enjoying the summer outdoors with my toddler. I feel so guilty about putting her in the swing all the time. It doesn’t feel right to have to constantly put her down after every feeding attempt when she is so young. I do try to swaddle her every now and then and put her in her crib, but that takes longer because I need to get to the pump right away so it doesn’t interfere with the next feed and I can also have time to give a bottle. When my husband is home he can help hold her and I don’t feel guilty but he’s going back to work.

How does everyone else pump with a newborn, whether you’re triple feeding (or not triple feeding, but just pumping in general)? I have tried holding her while pumping with my spectra and that was a disaster. I have tried doing one side at a time and that didn’t work either. I am only using my spectra and not a hands free portable pump because they do not remove my milk effectively.

Any advice or encouragement is much appreciated!
