Anyone else get mad that because you love fiber arts you're into "arts and crafts" but because it doesn't involve wood its less important?

I love creating. I'm an engineer, i love making things. But everything ive ever made is just "arts and crafts" and I'm salty about it.

I quilt, I knit, I weave and I cross stitch and embroider. Do you know the math I have to do make a good quilt pattern? Do I shy away from actual pattern making because figuring out the curves for making a pattern to fit multiple sizes is beyond my advanced degree in engineering brain?

But it makes me so fucking mad that because its women who predominantly do it, that makes it "arts and crafts" sorry no, this is fucking art!

Similar to all the women "DIYers", who are doing full scale woodworking and cabinetry. We are artisans! Don't sell us out or undervalue our work!

Finished my first Mill Hill kit! This was a really fun, quick project.

This was really fun! Took me a little bit to get used to the paper canvas, but it was fun once I got the hang of it. Only took a few days to finish too and the beads made it pretty fun!

Good thing I enjoyed it, because I may have purchased an entire army of gnomes to stitch for my Christmas tree...

Looking for cozy romantasy recs, like Sangu Mandanna and Sarah Beth Durst.

I loved every Sarah Beth Durst book I've read (Spellshop, Enchanted Greenhouse, and The Faraway Inn) and Sangu Mandanna (Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping)

I think its the found family, kinda low stakes, plus also the grumpy/helpful guy while finding yourself and meaning in life that I really enjoy. Are there other books with this same vibe? I'm ok with higher stakes and more spice (actually would prefer a little more spice TBH)

I swear the shifty-ness on this polish was completely missed on the website and swatches photos! I'm mesmerized by these duochrome magnetics!

This mani is:

1 coat nailtiques formula

1 coat Glisten and Glow base coat

2 coats BKL Force of Nature in a lazy glass bead

1 coat Cuticula QDTC and then magnetized with the glass bead spinner.

I painted them yesterday and this is today's results! I love a dispersed glass bead!
