Sent in my application for GE about a month ago. Going out of the country next month for the first time. I didn’t mention a dui that happened in high school like 16 years ago that was expunged because I didn’t think it’d be an issue, but now I’m skeptical because it’s still been “pending” for a month now.

Did I screw myself there? After reading a lot of these experiences I’m not holding my breath for having it approved before my trip next month.

I was wondering if this was possible to do as I haven’t used my FHR credit for the year so follow me.

I was planning on a trip to a resort in Cancun around August just for four nights. I was wondering if I were to book two nights now, trigger the initial $300 credit, and then wait until July and book the following two nights and receive the other $300 essentially getting $600 off of my stay, if that were to be possible? Or is there some fine print stuff I’m missing here.

I’ve been trying to burn this credit but haven’t had the chance to yet and I think it’d be nice to use them both on one place.

I’ve got a couple hundred thousand in Amex points and I see the transfer rate to Hilton is 1000=2400 which seemed like a lot. I was thinking about utilizing it for 5 day stay at one of their all inclusive properties in Mexico, but I wasn’t sure if that’d be a smart move or good value for the points as I’ve never really used my points before and am rather new to the game. Any insight would be super appreciated. Thanks!
