Core Theme:
Both are major antagonists/deuteragonist of popular game/cartoon series that serve a great rivals to the protagonist of the series and even resemble them in some way only with key differences in their appearance and while they started out as people who started out as people who inspired to be a great figure in their hometown getting the inspiration from their peers who they had a strong bond with but however they would face rejection rather it be by their peers seeing them as impatient and demanding or the general public just not them the recognition they craved they decided to go on a dark path starting with them studying/producing other stuff that their peers use that would eventually lead to them leaving their own homes to go somewhere else completely different from where they’re from and they would even change their appearance and thus they become very known and fear to the point where they would make a big name for themselves but they would soon find out that another person who is the protagonist would succeed at something they were passionate about and because of this they begin to form a great jealousy towards them to the point where they hatch up a plan to get rid of them and take their place and they would start this by taking something important to them and a specific day dedicated to them and forcing them to embark on a journey to get them back while the rivals try everything in their power to stop them with the help of their henchmen who are very incompetent in what they do they would eventually end up facing them in a final fight where they would use a powerful item that the protagonist use to transform into a powerful force but they would eventually be defeated by the protagonist and would be very humbled by them but despite everything they did they would be forgiven by the protagonist which would eventually be lead to them redeeming themselves and while they have fell back in their own ways a few times they have really changed their ways and in end up on good terms with their former enemies turned friends and would even helping the protagonist on many occasions

Connections:
•Both are major antagonists/deuteragonist of popular franchises (my little pony/pac-man) who play significant roles in a sub series (my little pony equestria girls/pac man world) who star as major villains/rivals to the protagonist of the series (twilight sparkle/pac-man) who they even share striking similarities to them only with key differences (sunset shimmer sharing a lot of similarities to twilight only with a different color scheme/toc-man resembling pac-man only more robotic)

•Both have stared out as someone who dreams about being great individuals in their home town (sunset inspires to be a great princess Alicorn/orison inspires to be a famous hero in pac land) with them gaining this inspiration from their peers who they have/had a close connection with (sunset being a former student of princess celestia/orison being a childhood friend pac-man) and would learning many things to be just as great as them (sunset shimmer studying many forms of magic under princesses celestia /orison copying many of pac-man’s characteristics)

•Both while they inspire to be great things they doing for the wrong reasons (sunset shimmer doing it for her cravings for more power/orison presuming his passion out of jealousy for his friends fame) that drives them to achieve their goals

•Both would soon face rejection from the people around them rather it be their peers who saw them as arrogant and impatient (princess celestia seeing her former student as arrogant and impatient which ended with her exiled sunset shimmer as her student) or the general public not really seeing potential in their talents (orison getting in the entertainment business only to not really get anywhere in the industry) but regardless because of the rejected they faced they would discover/produce stuff that would change their lives forever (sunset shimmer discovering the magic mirror/orison producing pac pellets) and from this they would leave their old lives behind and go somewhere very different from their old home (sunset shimmer leaving through the mirror to the human world where she would find herself in canterlot high/orison using the riches he got from from the pac pellets to move to ghost island where he would build his castle lair) and they would even change their appearance in this place (sunset shimmer becoming a human once she went through the mirror/orison building the toc-man suit that he would use in the Pac-Man world game)

•Both at this new place would become very known and feared in there to the point where they would make a big name for themselves (sunset shimmer becoming a infamous bully in canterlot high/toc man being a great leader of the ghost of ghost island) while they would have this “success” they would still be obsessed with becoming something they never get a chance to become

•Both would find out that someone who is the protagonist (twilight/pac man) would become something they were obsessed with becoming (twilight becoming an Alicorn princess/pac man being a famous hero in pac land) which they would form a great jealousy towards them leading to them plotting to take their place in some way (sunset plotting to steal twilight crown so she can take her magic powers for herself/toc man plotting to steal pac man’s identity from him to take all his fame and glory)

•Both would start this by stealing something important from the protagonist on a specific day dedicated to them (sunset stealing twilight’s crown on her coronation day /toc man kidnapping pac man’s family on his birthday) which causes the protagonist to go on an epic journey to try and get them back

•Both would try to do many things to sabotage the protagonist to stop
Them from ruining their plan rather it be them trying to frame them (sunset trying to frame twilight by spreading rumors and making it look like she was trying to ruin the fall formal) or them sending various minions out to get rid of them altogether and they would do this with their henchmen who are very incompetent in what they do (snips and snails/blinky pinky inky and cyde)

•Both after a series of events both would face of against the rivals which would
Escalade with them gaining the upper hand and using an powerful item that the protagonist use to transform into a big and powerful form (sunset shimmer using twilight’s crown to transform into a demonic form/toc man using the pac pellets to grow into a gigantic version of himself) and while they got the upper hand on their rivals at first they would soon be defeated by the protagonist after they transformed into a more powerful to beat them when everything felt lost for them (twilight and her using the elements of harmony/pac man using a power pellet to turn gigantic to defeat toc man)
•Both after this would be very humble from this defeat with them feeling devastated by their defeat with the contrast being: sunset was regretful of what she done while orison was upset that his plan to be liked failed
But despite what they’ve done the protagonist would show empathy towards them and forgive them for their actions with them ending up on good terms with them

• Both however while they did have a change of heart they didn’t fully became good as their past would still define them (sunset guilt defining her from time with her fearing of returning to her former self/toc man having trust issues with making friends and would even fall back into his old ways) but even so they thanks to the help of their friends would would be able to stop these negative thoughts and they would become great allies with their friends and even rekindled their relationship with their peers (sunset rekindling her relationship with princess celestia/orison rekindling his relationship with pac man)

•both would even help the protagonist stop major enemies in the series (sunset would help twilight and her friends stop these negative thoughts dazzlings and other villains/orison would help pac man stop win who was gonna destroy the universe)
•Both have a certain taste for food (sunset liking sushi/orison liking pudding)
