Now that Fender is going after copies and clones, how have they not gone after Squier??? It's like a 99% copy at 50% of the price!! Yet they still haven't sent a cease and desist? Why would they let Squier get away with such egregious and obvious copies?????

He built it from scratch (with plans) with wood from trees my grandfather had cut down decades ago. Yes, I could just buy an Explorer, but this has so much more meaning. EMG HZ pickups and set neck, too, so very, very impressive sustain.

I've been restoring (ish) this old Seiko 5606-7050 I snagged in rough shape (but runs great) for $5 over the past year or so. There's two problems left to solve: needs a bezel and two hour markers. I found a damaged dial with the correct markers (hasn't arrived yet so no photos). How should I go about removing those from the old dial, and when attaching them to this dial, should I use an adhesive, and what kind? Obviously, i'd like to avoid getting anything where it shouldn't be. While i've never replaced dial markers like this before, I have a lot of experience with small parts in models, so I trust that i'm capable of this. However, gluing the flight control stick onto an F-16 model won't affect a delicate mechanism underneath.

Next question. Where can I find a bezel? There's none in stainless I could find over the past few months on eBay, and i'm not sure who to trust outside of that.

This poor thing has been through some stuff. It was definitely worn while someone was welding, which had melted the crystal a bit and left spatter on the case. Also a big ding on the side. So far, I pulled out the movement, ground the spatter off as carefully as I could and re-did the brushed finish, and replaced the crystal.

To probably nobody's surprise, the official winner of the Worst Road in (or around) Appleton contest is Wisconsin Avenue. Thanks to all who participated and made this fun, at least for me. And maybe, just maybe, it may make a difference if the right people find it (not particilarly optimistic but you never know).
