Finally got some new pants!!!

If you haven’t seen me on this sub before, hi!! I’ve been losing weight since January (down about 35 lbs!) and have been starting to struggle styling looks with my old pants. I didn’t realize how big of an issue it was until I went shopping today, but the difference in silhouette is INSANE. (First photo is the pants I wore to the store, for comparison.)

This was an incredibly healing experience. Thrifting/clothes shopping has always been a fun experience for me, but I always hated looking for pants. Many stores have poor options when it comes to larger bodies, and normally I’d have to spend hours searching for a pair of pants that just fit me. That is no longer the case today! I had so many options and was actually able to be more specific when it comes to fit/shape. (I must note, the main issue here is more that clothing retailers don’t know how to design for plus-size very well, but alas.)

This was a very rewarding feeling after the months of growth I’ve had, and I’m so grateful to be where I am now. I can’t wait to see how these two new pants help refresh my wardrobe!!

(20) I’m so blown away by how far I’ve come 🥹

After over a year of feeling like I needed to drop everything I was doing to care for another person, they made the decision to walk out of my life. Rather than wallow in my sadness, I realized that this was the sign that I had been neglecting my own needs (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) for far too long. Starting at the end of January, I began on a journey of weight loss and a rediscovery of my identity, passions, and motivations in life. Now almost 6 full months later, I am so proud of the person I see in the mirror.

Change is always scary, but there’s something so beautiful about changing into a version of you more authentic than you could ever imagine.

This is a reminder that photos can be powerful tools of memory and documentation! I am definitely a strong advocate for living in the moment and not being so caught up in technology and screens, but taking photos every now and then can help to immortalize a moment in time.

Make sure to do something nice for yourself today! We are all on our own journey in life and we can truly accomplish whatever we put our minds to if we have the drive.

Same outfit, months apart!!

I started at around 207 at the end of January and, as of yesterday, I’m down to 171!!! Im so lucky to have a photo from the very beginning in the exact same outfit as where I am now!!

Shirt too big? Style it a different way!

As I’ve been losing weight (down 35+ lbs since end of January!), the one downside has been that some of my favorite wardrobe pieces haven’t been fitting quite as well. Some level baggy fit is perfectly fine, but it has been getting to the point where it’s near impossible to keep a clean line and style with the shirt (especially since I usually tuck my shirts in.)

Rather than just donating the item, I started styling it in a tie-front knot! Honestly I’m so happy that I can still wear my favorite pieces while celebrating and showing off my body journey!

Now I just need to figure out how to style the oversized pants properly…

Celebrating my Growth and Glow!

I have been so busy with work I keep forgetting to take photos of my outfits!! But here are a few of the ones that I do have (if you can get past the streaky mirror in most of the pics yes I need to keep it clean more often 💀)

Desperately needing to thrift some new clothing (weight loss = clothes starting to not fit, like, at all) but I’m waiting till the last minute because $$$

Remember, you’re beautiful just the way you are in this moment and should not feel the need to change yourself for anyone!! Plant your roots and allow yourself to shine like the brilliant star you are 💜

20M, is this Gyno or just fat?

I’ve had “man boobs” since maybe 4th grade but always assumed it was just because I was overweight. Fast forward to now, I’ve actively been losing weight since January (down about 30lbs overall!). Somebody saw my progress pic and asked if I had gyno, which was the first I’ve ever heard about it.

The two pics are comparisons between me two months ago (194 lbs) and me now (180lbs).

I’ve read about the firm mass directly below the nipple, but I don’t seem to feel any. The descriptions are a bit confusing though, is this DIRECTLY, literally right below the nipple or a bit further in? Because there is a bit of clumpy/lumpy feeling tissue a bit deeper in, but that might just be muscle. I’m not too sure.

Thoughts?

20 | Orem, United States of America | Seeking Genuine Connections and a Relationship

Hello!! I am a 20 year old college student living in Orem, Utah, and am actively looking for a romantic partner. Nearby is preferred as physical touch is huge for me, but honestly I would love to just chat with people in general and get to know people!

I’m huge into theatre, music, playing piano, baking/cooking, fashion, drag race, and video games (Pokemon, Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Tomodachi Life, Mario Party/Kart) and would love to connect more with nature.

I don’t have many if any connections so I feel a bit isolated/lonely now that I’m off for summer break. Let’s change that!

Down 26lbs since January 27th!!

(For context: the attached photos are from March 28th and May 28th, not showing the entire journey.)

Just wanted to share that I’m officially down from 206 in January to 180 today!!! I only weight myself when I’m at the doctors, but I went from 206 to 194 between late January - April 1st and then down to 180 today (May 28th) I’m so proud of myself and so excited to keep going strong!

2 Month progress update!! From 194lbs (March 28th) to 1??lbs Now (May 26th)

Wanted to share the progress over the last two months!! I unfortunately forgot to take progress shots last month, so this is the magic that 2 months of tracking calories (500-700 deficit focusing on fiber, protein, and healthy fats) and exercising “regularly” (I injured my foot at the beginning of April, so I couldn’t go to the gym for a while) has had on my body.

Regarding my unknown current weight, that’s simply because I chose not to use the scale! The only time I weight myself is whenever I visit the doctors office. I go based off of visuals and how my body is feeling/performing, but god this side by side comparison has boosted my confidence and pride in myself so much!!

If I had to guess, I’d say I’ve probably lost about 10-15 lbs, but the fact that I don’t need that number for my worth has been incredibly empowering!! I can’t wait to see where I’m at 2 months from now!
