Brother names for Felix *

Hi everyone

I'm Portuguese, partner is English. Our first boy's name is Felix. We use the Portuguese pronunciation and spelling which can be challenging in the Uk! (But suits him)

We knew from the get go that Felix was the right name, but we're struggling so much with picking a name for his brother (due soon!).

We both like Xavier but since we can't agree on the pronunciation, it's a no go. We can't use names like Alex or Xander, or Atlas etc because they're in the family.

We were set on Tristan or Emrys but neither feel right. Partner loves Silas but I'm not a fan, he's also a fan of Lancelot but I'm not sure... You may see a theme here we like unusual names with strong meanings 🫣

Would love some suggestions that we may not have thought about!

Getting ready for n2, any good videos?

Hi everyone

I used a wrap for when my now 3 year old was a newborn, carrifit Carrier and tula explore. I also tried breast but I am big breasted, so that was a challenge 🥲

This time round I'm hoping to prepare better (due November). I've been thinking if I should invest on a ring sling, especially to breastfeed on the go as my 3 year definitely needs to burn off energy...

I don't drive and carrier libraries aren't very close to where I live (I've also asked locally with little to no luck).

Are there any good videos out there that could help me figure out the wearing and then some to help with the breastfeeding side of things? I really want to make this work (and I definitely found baby wearing so useful during newborn stage)

Thank you!

How to survive GD with a 3 year old?

Hi everyone

Week 26 here, so far been tested early for GD and managed to escape it but growth scan (had preeclampsia with my first) shows baby is looking tubby so might be early signs of GD...

I was able to control it via diet and walking lots when pregnant with my first, but I simply don't have the energy this time round... I'm still napping whenever I can at this stage which definitely didn't happen with my first. It was difficult mentally to restrict myself but I didn't and still don't want to go on insulin if I can help it.

Because little one shouldn't be subject to my restrictive diet, what can I do that's easy and quick and low carbs?

Often I am on my own with him for dinner and on the weekends, so I'm not sure I can just ignore my cravings for carbs as easily 🥺

Thank you for your help

We're currently on our way to have baby no 2 (still can't believe it!).

I managed to do 4 months of breastfeeding with no 1, but I really struggled with my breasts being so large. One of the things midwives suggested was a muslin underneath the big ol' bitties to 'hoist' them up, but it was a faff.

It got slightly better when he got better neck control and I was more confident with sleep feeding, but I can't just lie down all day every time I do a feed 😅 (in fact, would love to carry feed if I could)

Any good bras out there that might help? Please 🥺
